1.

Hi everyone,

Here is a short tutorial about the gun placement. I know the placement of guns is something obvious for many players, but beginners could need some help.
Also, even if you're an old player, maybe that you could learn a few things in that video ^^

Here is a short summary of the tutorial :

1. The most important side of a bot :
- Top / sides for ground bots
- Bottom / sides for flying bots

2. Placement for the basic guns :

- SMG : every faces but not the back
- Nano : every faces even the back to cover them
- PSK : every faces because of the seeking ammos
- Rail : top and sides (useless below, because a rail need to stay close to the ground)
- Plasma : sides and bottom (not on top, plasma isn't good against flyers)
- Teslas : every faces if your bot can move in that direction

3. Placement for high CPU weapons :

- SMG : -> sides, front and top for ground bots
-> sides, front, top and bottom for air bots
- Plasma : sides, bottom and front
- CHS : -> sides, front and top for ground bots
-> sides, front, top and bottom for air bots
- LOML : every faces even the back (locked on missiles)
- IND : sides and front
- Flak : -> sides, front and top for ground bots
-> sides, front top and bottom for air bots

4. Smart weapons update :

Click here to be redirected on the official Robocraft forum if you want to learn more about the smart weapons.

- Blocked guns don't shoot
- If you have 4 guns and only one can shoot, it will shoot as fast as 4
- If the weapon blocking the one behind is broken, the one behind will start shooting

5. Placement and durability :

- Place your guns on durable structures
- Don't place your guns at the end of a rod
- Don't place your guns at the end of a rod made with cubes
- Don't mount too many guns on a too small zone of your bot
- Use rodforcing, strutforcing or triforcing for more durability

Well here it is, I hope you learnt something, see you in another tutorial ^^

Hmm, not losing for rate on a gun that can only fire still with all four seems like something that will be changed ._.
