Tog II - Land Battleship

SMG Tank added 2 years ago

The good ol' Tog II! I designed this one based off of actual pictures (also made it before I had the larger mothership) This tank has a whopping 22 layers of green frontal armour before reaching the pilot, with 5 layers at the back and 7 layers at both the left and right sides. The only part of this tank which doesn't have the inside packed full of armour is the turret, which instead houses the gun barrel itself, which goes to the turret and then spines it's way into the main armour.

World of Tank fans rejoice, you're favourite land battleship is here!

This is one of the pictures I based this tank off of - http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/6/64/TOG2_Tank_Bovington.jpg

Thanks :D Recently had a guy trudge through my profile and rate my 2 builds as 1.0 in both creative and practical ratings, so thanks (:

(The guy I'm talking about made an account and within 22 minutes, rated 11 different bots for 1.0 ratings, flamed people and left)

Careful- Mess with the angry pinata and you'll get flanked by the stick. :P I can see it now, my Tog rolling up behind your lines- Nomming on your Sky Pig's. All dem bacons.

+added yet another front/side facing picture at a more elevated angle.

Compared to it's width, it should be longer and taller, otherwise a very interesting build. Also it is a nice base for any type of weapons.

To make it longer, it would have to be a megabot, as with this bot, I reached max cpu of 1511 at tier 4. As a megabot, this Tog would not work anywhere near as good as it does in battle. At the time of building, I was using the 33x33x33 garage as well. By elongating the hull, it made the gun shorter, making the gun not look right. By changing the turret to be 1 block thinner, it made it look like a point.

Agreed though that it SHOULD be longer, but for the max CPU I had available, with the length of garage I had at the time, this is the best I could do for the Tog II, in order to make it both functional and Tog-Like.
By increasing the size now, I would have to remove the filler armour, which is what protects this tank greatly- and doing so would create a bigger target, with more weak points.

I did try to get some thing more correct to compensate, like the front section and the tracks being embedded into the tank itself.

I have used this tank using SMG's as my main weapon, but I have also used rail guns, however it was before the tracks got a traction buff, so it didn't work very well, but now- it very likely works much better.

Yeah sure go ahead with the using of my bot (: Same goes for all and any I add on this site.

I'll get more pictures added once I wake up. Not been to sleep last night and it's already 4PM

Wow I was literally just thinking of making this :D

Is it okay if I make this in MegaMode please?
I would not do it if you say no.

Would be nice to see a few more pictures, especially from between side / front to see how it looks better ;)

I have added a side/front picture, along with my first victory of the day results in another picture.
Note: I don't always get these results, it's usually more around 1-3 kills per match.

Constructive Points

Constructive points are what you get when other users mark your reviews (comment+ratings) as constructive.

When should you mark a review as constructive though?

If you answer yes to at least three of these questions you should definitely mark it as constructive; is the review..

  1. friendly?
  2. helpful?
  3. encouraging?
  4. well structured?
  5. fair relative to the CPU used?

Why do I want these points?

After receiving X amount of points you will get a chance of being promoted to "trusted reviewer". This promotion is done by a moderator if (s)he thinks your comment and rating behaviour is reasonable.

Trusted reviewer?

As a trusted reviewer you no longer need to write a comment when rating a robot. If you add a comment you will receive extra points. Trusted reviewer is not necessarily permanent, continous bad behaviour or lack of comments might get you demoted.

Constructive Voting

Hey, seems like you're about to place your first constructive vote. That's awesome! I just wanted to inform you a bit about it before you jump into voting though. You can vote on any comment accompanied with a rating as a "Constructive Review". This will give the reviewer a "Constructive Point".
