100% Headlights - 100% OP

Plasma Sled added 1 year ago

Here is a wee story:

I bet you all looked at the armor value of the headlight block right?
And you saw "1...9".
And you thought, like me at first, that it was "1190" and you skipped to buy whatever you wanted to buy in the first place, because no one cares about headlights. Except madmen like me.
And then I built a bot out of headlights. For the sake of science, and lol, rofl and such.
I did some battles, and I noticed that it was a good bot, for some odd reason. I paid no mind and kept on queuing, thinking that I must be very skilled :O
Then, while in the queue, I see a guy saying "How to we report headlight abusers?"
So I un-queue, unsure if to be to be targeted by the complain or he speaks of someone else. And I say "what kind of abuse is that wtf?"
He answers that headlights have a too high armor.
We argue about headlights a bit, and I check the roboshop, you know, just to be sure I'm right, for that guy seems pretty confident that headlights HAVE a high armor value.
What do I see, I see a little "1", a little "1" in front of the 1190.
And I read "armor: 11190"

That kids, is why headlights, are the TX-cubes of tomorow :D
Sadly, they are only available for GC and they eat a holy bunch of cpu.
(I have only 146 of em, If I'd known, I'd have bought 9999 before the update).

So here it is, a bot that is not-so-much-op because it's build in 10 mins as a troll project.
But it ends up being a good robot, a good sled.
Not my best, but a good one for sure.

PS: After seeing this armor value, I understand why they forbid headlights on megas :O

You have the fucking best bots man XD So many glitch bots, it makes me wish unity 4 was still here so that the full spectrum update would be steaming pile of bugs

XD True!

Although, the 'upside down' tracks are now impossible D:
Fj fixed that.

Even though, if you manage somehow to flip them, the glitch is still live :p

ALSO,
Everyone, just saying for those who don't look into my previous posts.
A pretty while ago I posted "Thou shallt seek light"
http://robocraftgarage.com/robot/csxzCHQW

It WAS but a mere troll bot before, but with this buff on the headlights, it's a good over-ranked bot (if it's still possible)

Interesting concept, but lights take up a lot of pflops

Yeah, as I said, Headlights are a bit like TX blocks.
They take a lot of cpu but:
Are lighter.
Higher armor.
Cool looks.

And they actually have MUCH more armor than the TX blocks we had XD
So it kinda makes up for the cpu.

Besides, they have a triangle shape, so it can be an interesting block when triforcing, because it can (like rods) go between two lines of blocks without touching them.

Dafuq? Insane learno, although I was watching some streamer who was attempting to do something similar. Kinda sucks you are CPU capped, would have been nice to see atleast 6 guns, none the less, nice concept my friend..

Yeah, more guns would've been nice. I'm tying to figure out some way to make it good without these MEps.
For they eat like 500 cpu alone, and then maybe, 6 guns are possible.

I'll upload the upcoming versions anyway, so you will see soon enough :D

EVERYTHING IS POSSIBRUH.

Wow, I never noticed that. Perhaps my copious amount of headlights do have a use after all ;)

Oh, and well done btw :)

Well, copious, knowing that each uses 10 cpu, you can place at most 151 headlights, and that, if you don't place any guns/movement.

So maybe having "only" 146 isn't that bad after all for me.

Constructive Points

Constructive points are what you get when other users mark your reviews (comment+ratings) as constructive.

When should you mark a review as constructive though?

If you answer yes to at least three of these questions you should definitely mark it as constructive; is the review..

  1. friendly?
  2. helpful?
  3. encouraging?
  4. well structured?
  5. fair relative to the CPU used?

Why do I want these points?

After receiving X amount of points you will get a chance of being promoted to "trusted reviewer". This promotion is done by a moderator if (s)he thinks your comment and rating behaviour is reasonable.

Trusted reviewer?

As a trusted reviewer you no longer need to write a comment when rating a robot. If you add a comment you will receive extra points. Trusted reviewer is not necessarily permanent, continous bad behaviour or lack of comments might get you demoted.

Constructive Voting

Hey, seems like you're about to place your first constructive vote. That's awesome! I just wanted to inform you a bit about it before you jump into voting though. You can vote on any comment accompanied with a rating as a "Constructive Review". This will give the reviewer a "Constructive Point".
