Cake!!!

SMG Hover added 1 year ago

Happy 1st birthday to RCG! A little late, but here's the cake.

I decided to build it as a rotating SMG hover, an idea I first came across being used by Karbengo.

Fairly competitive for it's RR (air is uncommon) due to redundancy, average lower skill levels, and hovers helping against plasma.

Circle shape used was taken from here.

Too big target to be any good, but I love how you built the whipped cream roses or whatever they're called.

Thanks! May I ask the reason you gave it a 2 in practical rating?

Seems so unprotected. No triforce and no good places to put guns

Personally I found the sheer amount of cubes and the redundant guns to perform well enough, although it's true I didn't bother triforcing this (very rare for me not to).

I find that while the gunmounts aren't perfect, they're perfectly fine; having them on multiple faces means I can always hit an enemy, and plasma wont strip me of my guns as fast. Due to a lack of air in T3 bottom mount guns aren't that bad either.

Still, it's your right to rate as you wish and as I only played a handful of battles (2 of which have screenshots) it's almost certainly much too early on my part to claim it as being "good".

Constructive Points

Constructive points are what you get when other users mark your reviews (comment+ratings) as constructive.

When should you mark a review as constructive though?

If you answer yes to at least three of these questions you should definitely mark it as constructive; is the review..

  1. friendly?
  2. helpful?
  3. encouraging?
  4. well structured?
  5. fair relative to the CPU used?

Why do I want these points?

After receiving X amount of points you will get a chance of being promoted to "trusted reviewer". This promotion is done by a moderator if (s)he thinks your comment and rating behaviour is reasonable.

Trusted reviewer?

As a trusted reviewer you no longer need to write a comment when rating a robot. If you add a comment you will receive extra points. Trusted reviewer is not necessarily permanent, continous bad behaviour or lack of comments might get you demoted.

Constructive Voting

Hey, seems like you're about to place your first constructive vote. That's awesome! I just wanted to inform you a bit about it before you jump into voting though. You can vote on any comment accompanied with a rating as a "Constructive Review". This will give the reviewer a "Constructive Point".
