Baron

General Robot added 3 weeks ago

Rolling onto the scene is the 'Baron'.

Offense:
- Chain Shredder x 1
- Blasters x 6 (Back-up Firepower)

Defense:
- Sturdy block chassis
- Limited Isolation Wheel Mounts

Extras:
- Energy Module
- Some Cool Cosmetics

/\/\/\

I'm going to level with you. The chain shredder is likely to be the first thing that is going to get shot off. Sadly its hitbox is such that I cannot even armour its base.

Even so, it is great while it lasts, chewing through opponents on land and in air quickly.

This bot is able to hit 300MPH and so its true worth is in hit-and-run tactics. Roll in, ideally from directions unexpected, chew an enemy up a little, and roll out back to safety before the damage cripples your bot.

Other than the chaingun the bot retains a pretty low profile. And don't underestimate those blasters. Sometimes you just want to shoot precisely.

Use your speed to get shot less. This bot prefers open spaces like the Mars maps rather than tighter spaces. then again it might be the player.

Glass cannons and flimsy planes "love" this bot. ;c)

This ground-hugging bot doesn't appreciate mortars, plasmas and chaingun-sniping rails.

Swapping out the energy module may be a good idea as the chaingun shredder doesn't tend to chew through energy too fast anyway.

Disc Shield, EMP or Blink are candidate successors.

Roll out!

Pst.... 6 Blasters, not Hornets. :cP

Thank you for the ratings ^_^

Thinking of trading out the Shredder for a less defensively gimped mega weapon - like Leviathan. ¬_¬

I chose blasters because the chaingun takes a ludicrous amount of real estate.

Yeah - I've been toying with other loadouts. Only the Leviathan made sense - mounted toward the rear. Which meant removing the secondary lasers. Tried placing an Ion on the front - but looks bad... so returned it to its original state - and replaced the Energy Module for a DSM to improve survivability.

Don't mind me. Just a commentary. :c)

Hey I like the fact that you are using wheels because they have been neglected and haven't really been used. I am not a fan of the alien mask or whatever it is on the side but that is just me. I always like it when people upload a no cosmetic version since the addition of cc that you have to pay real money. Cool bot and looks like it would work well.

Thank you kindly for the ratings. :c)

Yes- wheels aren't a common choice and I guess the cosmetics are a matter of taste. :cP

I would personally prefer that RC allow players to craft a non-cosmetic version of any given bot if they choose. Better than forcing players to use up two garage bays for the same bot.

Constructive Points

Constructive points are what you get when other users mark your reviews (comment+ratings) as constructive.

When should you mark a review as constructive though?

If you answer yes to at least three of these questions you should definitely mark it as constructive; is the review..
