SMG Mech added 1 year ago

Hi everyone,

I made another mech these days... And so far it does well in battle.

Wait.. you thought these leg connections are weak ? Well rodforcing is stronger than a real chassis I can tell you that after a lot of tests.

Agile and fast, with a good firepower, these 2 bots are pretty good and even more in a platoon...
Also, you can change the blink for a power module but well, to me power module is useless if you are able to aim right 6 shots of IND are enough and 10 seconds of fire with a CSH are more than enough to shred a guy and blink right after your job is done if you're in trouble.

Functionnal parts :

-2 sprinter legs hermes
-1 hover tornado
-6 SMGs C6 disintegrator
-1 IND / 1 CHS
-1 blink module / 1 power module
-A strong rodforced chassis

Well well, I do prefer the shotgun version since I have a sneaky gameplay, but both are fine as you can see on the scoreboard screenshots and with the video...

danngggg I have a question, are rods stronger than blocks? is it smarter to use 3 blocks or a short rod

Well, that's a good question, and I'll answer you ^^ !

Both are good in a way :

-> Cubes are bad if you use them as lines, because if 1 cube explodes, so, the whole structure will be broken... imagine a line of 3 cubes and a SMG at the end, so if 1 single cube is broken, the SMG will be broken too... but f you stack cubes, to make a chassis so it will be good.

-> Rods are bad if you dont couple them with cubes, they are good to join functional parts together because they are harder to focus. Also, these are better to resist at the beginning of a fight, as struts are, because the whole piece has more HP, so you'll need to make enough DMG to destroy the piece, and then destroy cubes under the strut / rods structure.

In my opinion, using rods is a good way to make a chassis stronger, but you need to be smart and use these coupled with cubes, I hope I answered you ^^'

Nano on the back would work nicely :3

It basically has a nano on the shoulder instead of a smg but yeah, it would be better covered on the back... tho a nano on the side is more durable if you take the right placement, since it takes longer to drill in a mech from his side than from his face ^^

Yeah, would prefer use many rods instead of cubes to connect sprinter legs now, since it seems a lot tankier against rails / plasma ^^
SavageGamer111

yea ive been doing that on bots many of my bots use rod forcing and block spam in conjunction very effective

We don't think about it much but only an advanced builder thinks about rods etc, so if you do the same, consider you as an advanced builder :)
SavageGamer111

yea but honesly to me i just using it as easy triforcing lol

Amazing, all tho the leg mounts on the second one are too weak no matter the rodforcing

Well you should test it yourself, you could be impressed how strong is a good rodforcing, some rods connected to the cubes, and some to the legs, then if you lose the chassis, leg's still connected, if you lose the leg, blocks are still connected :)

Also if you now compare how many CPU are used to connect the leg with the body, you'll see that's more than enough, more than some mechs using cubes only... even if rods look fragile, they are tankier agains most of the ingame weapons ^^

Constructive Points

Constructive points are what you get when other users mark your reviews (comment+ratings) as constructive.

When should you mark a review as constructive though?

If you answer yes to at least three of these questions you should definitely mark it as constructive; is the review..

  1. friendly?
  2. helpful?
  3. encouraging?
  4. well structured?
  5. fair relative to the CPU used?

Why do I want these points?

After receiving X amount of points you will get a chance of being promoted to "trusted reviewer". This promotion is done by a moderator if (s)he thinks your comment and rating behaviour is reasonable.

Trusted reviewer?

As a trusted reviewer you no longer need to write a comment when rating a robot. If you add a comment you will receive extra points. Trusted reviewer is not necessarily permanent, continous bad behaviour or lack of comments might get you demoted.

Constructive Voting

Hey, seems like you're about to place your first constructive vote. That's awesome! I just wanted to inform you a bit about it before you jump into voting though. You can vote on any comment accompanied with a rating as a "Constructive Review". This will give the reviewer a "Constructive Point".
