~{NEO TECH}~ Car-sled MkI "Swiftness"

Plasma Sled added 1 year ago

As all my "Neo-Tech" Series, this bot features a (more or less) new feature, or special ability.
For the new ones around here, my others Neo-Techs were like a tesla that could "grab" people and trap them under it, and another one was my rocket launcher using a way to bend over at will using mech legs.

So it's all about the gameplay, new ways to use old rules.
(Yeah, I'm being a bit egocentric here, but it doesn't hurt, you should try that some day)
This new bot, also features a new kind of gameplay.
This is a sled.

Sleds, are cool, yep, but, their drifting can get quite SO VERY DUCKING MUCH annoying. Especially when playing tesla.

Cruisers, are cool, yep, but, their drifting can get quite SO V.. I'm not going to repeat that, you got the idea.
For those who were here, it wasn't always like that, there was a time, when cruisers had much less drifting (they still had, but less).

So, what if I told you, that I, and my fabulous brain, could make you a bot, with:
-> No drifting
-> Cruiser-friendly controls
-> Sled speed

You would say "Impossibru!!!!"
And I say "DUCK" because I like saying that, and then I'd say "Possibru!!!!"

I'd make a vid, but I'm a bit lazy for that, so I'll maybe upload one tomorrow, I have like the full day off, a lot of time to get bored, and a recording software, and some random software to edit.

Actually, you don't need a video to have proof:
Make a line of blocks, put a thruster on top, and one rudder in the front, and one rudder in the back, both facing upwards.
Enjoy.
Yep, it's that simple!

Now, it comes with a few cons:
You CANNOT steer while airborne. (you would just keep making barrel rolls)
If one rudder gets shot off, the steering becomes a bit messy (that's why I added some turning thrusters)

But the advantages are AWESOME.

And since I bet few people actually scroll down the comments to look at my "daily music", here it is, for you, you... fat, disappointing, cockroaches (don't get offended, this is a reference to a YT guy, +1 for those who know him)

Music -> Beltaine - Rockhill
(soundcloud link, not YT, don't be scared)

Freemium colours are still an abomination of the gods. We should burn them.

No, I meant, burn the gods!

Since if gods are capable of making such atrocities, then they should be deposed of their "god" status!
Thus ranking down to the rank of above-average-mortals that can be burned!

Constructive Points

Constructive points are what you get when other users mark your reviews (comment+ratings) as constructive.

When should you mark a review as constructive though?

If you answer yes to at least three of these questions you should definitely mark it as constructive; is the review..

  1. friendly?
  2. helpful?
  3. encouraging?
  4. well structured?
  5. fair relative to the CPU used?

Why do I want these points?

After receiving X amount of points you will get a chance of being promoted to "trusted reviewer". This promotion is done by a moderator if (s)he thinks your comment and rating behaviour is reasonable.

Trusted reviewer?

As a trusted reviewer you no longer need to write a comment when rating a robot. If you add a comment you will receive extra points. Trusted reviewer is not necessarily permanent, continous bad behaviour or lack of comments might get you demoted.

Constructive Voting

Hey, seems like you're about to place your first constructive vote. That's awesome! I just wanted to inform you a bit about it before you jump into voting though. You can vote on any comment accompanied with a rating as a "Constructive Review". This will give the reviewer a "Constructive Point".
