Mech Wars

General Robot added 8 months ago

Get some friends and Mech Wars bots and get a custom going :DDD

They each have guns mounted on the...gun. And they each have some kind of shoulder plasma launchers.

These are all the same cpu with low tier weapons and movement. My philosophy about custom game bots is to keep them small with basically low tier parts so pretty much anyone would likely already have the parts they need, or be very cheap. That way more people can try :D

So with that idea in mind, I put 7 wasps on each mech. The first two have 6 pulsers each, and the red one has 4 disruptors. They each have 1 small hover in the body.

Where they all mainly differ is in speed, health, and jumping ability.

If you want to try them, be sure to use camera control! They are really fun! Search "Mech Wars" in the CRF for all 3 bots :D

* (that last screenshot) I take these into TDM too for fun. My last match I was using the red mech above and actually got 1st place lol
It works really well against those speed bombers :D

If I had to classify, from my fav first i would say the purple, then the red, then the green, the green one reminds me of master chief btw for random reasons (maybe just the colors), nice diagonal built mechs on that scale, and 3 bots in a post takes time to do so congratulations on this one ^^

I wanted to make a large one diagonally, so these were kind of a test run, but I'm really happy with how they turned out

My favorite would probably be the red one because it looks more like a robot and not a suit cause of the rod arms which in my opinion looks awesome.

Well, I didn't think or feel it was my role so far but if you say so from an external PoV, you might be kind of right idk

These look cool. They should be submitted to the RR01 contest as a 500-999 CPU. Btw low tier parts are a little overpowered for the price so that's why practicality is pretty high. That robot also has mech legs which are thicc and tanky.

Constructive Points

Constructive points are what you get when other users mark your reviews (comment+ratings) as constructive.

When should you mark a review as constructive though?

If you answer yes to at least three of these questions you should definitely mark it as constructive; is the review..

  1. friendly?
  2. helpful?
  3. encouraging?
  4. well structured?
  5. fair relative to the CPU used?

Why do I want these points?

After receiving X amount of points you will get a chance of being promoted to "trusted reviewer". This promotion is done by a moderator if (s)he thinks your comment and rating behaviour is reasonable.

Trusted reviewer?

As a trusted reviewer you no longer need to write a comment when rating a robot. If you add a comment you will receive extra points. Trusted reviewer is not necessarily permanent, continous bad behaviour or lack of comments might get you demoted.

Constructive Voting

Hey, seems like you're about to place your first constructive vote. That's awesome! I just wanted to inform you a bit about it before you jump into voting though. You can vote on any comment accompanied with a rating as a "Constructive Review". This will give the reviewer a "Constructive Point".
