Provocator IV

Rail Hover added 3 years ago

Hello Robocrafters ! Today I'm presenting to you a uncommon and unique bot.
You may find it very weird, but this bot works and is super fun to play.
I present this original creation here because I'm participating to a Robocraft competition named "Poject Sun Wukong" organized by @xbriannova.
You may find all the détails of the competition here

Lets describe this bot. First, this is a Rail Hover (As called by Robocraft HUD lady), but in fact, this is much more than that.
Equipped with 9 Tesla Blades and 2 Rotor Blades, not forgetting the Mega Hoverblade addition, this bot is a polyvalent hybrid. It can do anything. Anything !

Anyway, if your ennemy is on ground, on air, o far or near, this bot can take the offensive and do serious damage.

Because this is an uncommon build I will list it's component and their utility :
- 5 HoverBlade + 1 Mega HoverBlade (Ground)
- 2 Rotors (Air) + 4 Helium
- 4 Thrusters (Ground + Air)
- 9 Tesla Blades (Melee)
- 9 Rail Cannon (Range)
- Some EP

Because this is a complex build to balance, every components has their perfect place in this bot.

Now let's talk of the Gameplay. It needs some practice to use it properly, else you always die. You must be sneak and decide the appropriate moment to go on air, or float on ground to chase an ennemy. You can use it as a regular Rail, too, but the interesting of this bot is that you can sneak up farther than your shield and do some additional kills and assists.

You have a lot of choice with this hybrid that match together Air/Ground/Melee/Range attacks. This bot is so fun to play with, because I like blasting some Rail shots while crashing my Tesla on it ! :D

Now for the situations of combat :

FLYING ENNEMY :
- Far : Use your Rails
- Near : Use your Rail, but if the ennemy is flying slow (copters) try to crush it silently.

GROUND ENNEMY :
- Far : Use your Rails and try to approach if the ennemy is alone
- Medium : This depends, use your Rails if it's a SMG ennemy that has already seen you and go back, if it's other than SMG, foward and try to sneak and shot at the same time to destroy it with Tesla !
- Close : PEW PEW ! And BOOOM ! Use all you have !

Once you understood all the stratégies, you will do fun games. Beware, this bot is kind of fragile so don't risk too often.

Pros :
-Polyvalent, you can use it everywhere, everytime
-Redundancy (9 Rails + 9 Tesla)
-If you loose Rotors you will fall on the ground and you can move easily with safety hover blades and Thrusters !
-Fun to use !

Cons :
-Fragile
-Medium speed
-Sometimes, when you hit an ennemies with Tesla, the bot flips, to prevent this you must excells at a special technique descripeted in the video.

**Enjoy, the model without guns it will be in the CRF. Just place Rails on Aero Rods AND blue cubes, place an Mega HoverBlade on orange spots, and finally place Tesla on gray cubes.

Have fun with this Rail Tesla Hover Copter ! ^^
