GDI Mammoth Mk. II (C&C Tiberian Sun inspired Mega Rail Walker)

Rail Walker added 2 months ago

Since Megabots are back and with the new introduction of Mega Rail Gun, there was simply no bigger desire for me than to finally make my own version of Mammoth Mk. II, including all it's main and secondary weapons.

The Mammoth Mk. II was GDI's premier land weapon during the Second Tiberium War. Its armor was resistant and it was armed to destroy both ground and air targets. In various occasions lone Mammoth Mk. IIs could destroy entire bases in a matter of minutes, annihilating any form of resistance.
A pair of large experimental railguns, capable of laying waste to almost all targets, were mounted on both sides. The entire vehicle needed to be turned to aim them laterally. The chin-mounted cannon and dorsal SAM launchers were placed in independently traversing turrets.
Like the Mk. I, the Mk. II had integral facilities for battlefield repairs. Like so much of the walker, the Mk. II's self-repair system was also experimental.

Hopefully you will enjoy this build, check the video and the bot itself in CRF when available (find it under: "GDI Mammoth MK.II")

At first I didn't include them but when I tried a few variations, to me it looked a bit better with them, it gives the Mammy a bit smother look, not so naked. Another reason was I had CPU to spare and I wanted it more tanky without using all TX cubes for hull.

Constructive Points

Constructive points are what you get when other users mark your reviews (comment+ratings) as constructive.

When should you mark a review as constructive though?

If you answer yes to at least three of these questions you should definitely mark it as constructive; is the review..

  1. friendly?
  2. helpful?
  3. encouraging?
  4. well structured?
  5. fair relative to the CPU used?

Why do I want these points?

After receiving X amount of points you will get a chance of being promoted to "trusted reviewer". This promotion is done by a moderator if (s)he thinks your comment and rating behaviour is reasonable.
