Rocket Wiz MkII

SMG Drone added 5 months ago

My attempt at making a rocket drone/sled wizard using 4 modules
(Blink - Ghost - Shield - Power)

Pretty fun to drive and works well for tower rushing in BA, and supporting pushes with it's shield if needed. Preferably you should stay on the move though, and sneak past trouble :)

At first, it was just a sled, but by popular demand, and after reducing the weight, replacing two thrusters with a bunch of helium, and some small rearrangements, it's now officially a strafe drone... Maybe not the most durable drone, and a bit lacking in firepower, but it's wizard! It likes it's magic.

Last 3 images is the old sled design, the first two the current drone (lazy drone, likes to slide around on the ground too :) )

Very nicely done! It's rare to see sleds nowadays. It looks like it could fly as a rudderless thruster stick, though. Either way, creative build!

Update: It's now technically a rudderless strafe drone... :)

Thanks! :)

Maybe I should try make it a drone/tstick instead, since no-one seems to know what a sled is, and everyone seems to think it is a drone anyhow :P

Might be possible if I lightened it a bit, getting rid of all those full cubes... More then a quarter of its weight is just modules though...

Made a drone Very similar to this, they r pretty good but the big thrusters are the things that reduce this bot's s for some reason :P
Lots of little ones mean that when they are destroyed, they don't have much of an effect on the balance and maneuverability of the bot.

Not bad, although needs better weapons and redundancy.
