Dual Rotor Plasma, C6 Edition

Plasma Copter added 2 years ago

EDIT: [ This Robot is now available for rental and purchase in the CRF. Search via my username: 'Adrival42'. ]

OVERVIEW:

This Dual Rotor Plasma Assault Chopper is a high speed, high maneuverability craft. The combination of Rotors, Rudders and Thrusters lets this robot make graceful arcing attacks and even lets it perform 'tactical' stunts such as flips, barrel rolls, tail balancing and dives.

MOVEMENT:

The four rotor blades are Tri/Rod-forced with the latest and greatest in damage redirection technology. Full control can be maintained with any two rotor blades. The Thrusters and Rudders let this robot tilt and sway into its movements allowing you to attain full speed attacks. When all is said and done, this Helicopter handles like a dream.

WEAPONS:

Seven Plasma Cannons, predominately designed for (but by no means limited to) engaging ground based targets, are Rod-forced and MkX-1 Armor reinforced. The deadly plasma barrage is often more than enough to cripple and kill your foes in addition to dismantling Towers and Reactors with not only ease, but a palpable sense of glee. ;)

STYLING:

A sleek and elegant design with Carbon 6 Styling of the hull. This Robot isn't just primed to kill, it's dressed for the part. One should never settle for monotonous functionality when you can dominate in style.

Enjoy. Cheers.

p.s. As always, if there's enough interest, I'd be delighted to put together a tutorial.

p.p.s. I apologize in advance for the quality of the video. It's the best I can do at the moment. Sorry.

Looks nice, but because of these aerorods that only connect plasma to the bot I feel they are going to be fragile.

Initially I just thought the tail and rudders would look nice. I kind of discovered and refined the cool maneuvers that it can do. Glad you like it.

Dual movement is always good, so I'll ignore the fact that they're not as redundant as they should be.

Video framerate...

I know redundancy is lacking in this build. I will hold out and pray for a day when massive redundancy is no longer king of robocraft. Sorry about the video. I'm not exactly on the most powerful rig here, but I tried. So don't I at least get a cookie for that? :)

Constructive Points

Constructive points are what you get when other users mark your reviews (comment+ratings) as constructive.

When should you mark a review as constructive though?

If you answer yes to at least three of these questions you should definitely mark it as constructive; is the review..

  1. friendly?
  2. helpful?
  3. encouraging?
  4. well structured?
  5. fair relative to the CPU used?

Why do I want these points?

After receiving X amount of points you will get a chance of being promoted to "trusted reviewer". This promotion is done by a moderator if (s)he thinks your comment and rating behaviour is reasonable.

Trusted reviewer?

As a trusted reviewer you no longer need to write a comment when rating a robot. If you add a comment you will receive extra points. Trusted reviewer is not necessarily permanent, continous bad behaviour or lack of comments might get you demoted.

Constructive Voting

Hey, seems like you're about to place your first constructive vote. That's awesome! I just wanted to inform you a bit about it before you jump into voting though. You can vote on any comment accompanied with a rating as a "Constructive Review". This will give the reviewer a "Constructive Point".
