This is an iteration of my previous Sky Maw build, it is really 'Sky Maw Mk.II' but Devourer sounds cooler. It is in many ways improved:
1. It now weighs less so it can move faster and is easier to control
2. The section holding the tesla blades are much more thought through and more solid and can take a much larger beating then before
3. It no longer has any T9 blocks
4. It contains some triforcing to increase survivability
5. It looks has also been improved(at least in my taste)
Build Guide can now be found here: http://robocraftgarage.com/tutorial/cDFIKPXZ
It works really well as a ambush and defence bot. The strongest defensive maneuver is to hit enemy wessels right as they reach the interface of the your own fusion shield that way they can't harm the blades regardless of their firepower. The ambush style is simply low flying to avoid spotting and rails, anyone occupied by shooting a tower or your teammates is too occupied to see your approach from above and behind. Plasmas and medics are generally free kills, and with a little training bombers and plasma copters are too. The most satisfying kills though are when you sneak up on a railer and just gulp it up.
It is still one of my favorite builds both aesthetically and gameplay wise. Like its previous incarnation it suffers if the enemy team has many smgs, forcing it to play defensively which is rather boring because it means staying in the fusion shield all the time waiting for enemies to come to you. That also means if the shield is down your life is short. Otherwise works surprisingly well and can rack up a lot of kills. In a game where the teams ar rater even it usually gets 10 - 20 kills, about 1 - 3 kills every life. I've included a non halloween version of it in the pictures for reference.
The previous version, 'Sky Maw' has been deleted but it was basically a weaker version of this robot.
Sorry for the wall of text, hope you enjoyed the read^^
**EDIT: I have been informed that the previous thumbnail which contained a color edited version of this craft was seen as fraudulent by some people. As this was not my intention I have now replaced it with a new and improved thumbnail. For those interested the old thumbnail can be found here: http://i.imgur.com/gbiGIKa.jpg?1**
