Watchdog [A]

Medic Copter added 1 year ago

I would like to present, Watchdog! This copter serves as a support type of unit, and is there to mainly aid teammates into capturing objectives or healing in the battlefield.

This bot has 4 nano binders, 6 nano constructors and 3 plasma devastators, the binders are used for when power in the bot runs low, allowing the bot to support at all times, the plasma can be used to capture towers or be offensive depending on the situation.

Within the back of the bot lies a power module, this is especially good for a bot of this type as it allows the bot to heal teammates more often, and also allows the plasma devastators to be used more often as well.

The bot has a split shape which is contains aero rods, this allows the bot to take heavy hits without being split into two, the gun mounts on the bottom are slightly reinforced to allow them to last a little longer in battle.

Watchdog's frame is a light one, as a few of the block within the bot are inner blocks instead of full cubes, it also has two thrusters in the center, this allows the bot to retain it's tanky frame, while being more mobile in addition.

Once I get a greater amount of CPU, I plan to add 1-2 more plasma devastators to make battles easier, I will also add extra armor to the back of the bot in order to protect the rotors on the rods, I will probably also add electroplates at the mount points as damage sinks, in order to maximize toughness.

Any criticism is much appreciated, cheers! ^^

Also special thanks to Learno and RedDestroyer3 over on the RCG Discord for giving me one or two ideas to add to the bot. :D

EDIT: This bot can be found with or without functional parts on the CRF.

Nice bot here Joe! Would like to see a touch more flair from ya style these days, this feels a touch "old skool" and the few lower tier rotors do seems like easy pickings for flak.

Having said that you do have a distinctive style and the 2x nano setup works a treat have it on most of my medics!

Great work as always buddy!

Thanks Warmech. ^^

You've actually seen this in battle already, it was a match we had yesterday if you remember. :P

Oh cool, yeah I heard there was a touch of rage on the stream hehe, we were only having fun man, we play smart but we certainly don't camp, I hope there was genuinely no salt etc!

Aside from that was this always healing or did it have a lock on? I think i'm getting confused with another air unit on ya team?

I had healing on priority but I did shoot at tesla blades with my plasma guns a lot of the time.

Also, the only thing that I was jokingly on about was that you were all tesla, and managed to get away literally every time. xD

Absolutely no salt, you guys simply played smart. ^^

Well there were some "street smarts" going on, but mostly we had a LOT of fun, we were super vulnerable to air, but we had an all tesla match and man it was just frickin hilarious, no-one ever minds losing when it's fun, and just a point of note, STOP shooting my teslas - damn that was annoying :P Hoped ya liked my lil snake in the grass though xD

Looks really cool! Technically it is a wallcopter, but you managed to make it look good and not look like a normal wallcopter!

10 nanos are a bit too much especially with the new updates. Maybe 5-8 nanos and use the rest for SMG or plasmas. And with the remaining CPU maybe a internal hover

Some awesome shaping and such, but 10 nanos is way overkill especially when the majority of the are side mounted. I would suggest having 3-4 nanos max, and using the remaining cpu for plasmas, maybe an smg or 2 or some more rotors. Still a wicked looking bot tho

Nice design, but the load out is very inefficient, in their current state Nano Constructors consume too much power to have 6 of them, I suggest keeping only 2 nano constructors and the rest nano binders (you don't need energy to use them and if stacked they have some nice healing power)

Constructive Points

Constructive points are what you get when other users mark your reviews (comment+ratings) as constructive.

When should you mark a review as constructive though?

If you answer yes to at least three of these questions you should definitely mark it as constructive; is the review..

  1. friendly?
  2. helpful?
  3. encouraging?
  4. well structured?
  5. fair relative to the CPU used?

Why do I want these points?

After receiving X amount of points you will get a chance of being promoted to "trusted reviewer". This promotion is done by a moderator if (s)he thinks your comment and rating behaviour is reasonable.

Trusted reviewer?

As a trusted reviewer you no longer need to write a comment when rating a robot. If you add a comment you will receive extra points. Trusted reviewer is not necessarily permanent, continous bad behaviour or lack of comments might get you demoted.

Constructive Voting

Hey, seems like you're about to place your first constructive vote. That's awesome! I just wanted to inform you a bit about it before you jump into voting though. You can vote on any comment accompanied with a rating as a "Constructive Review". This will give the reviewer a "Constructive Point".
