Mustang 2015 GT

SMG Cruiser added 2 years ago

Any respectable car collection just has to have a Mustang. I chose the 2015 GT model, but really any Mustang is iconic and classic. It's actually a pretty simple car, quite flat body surfaces when you really look at it. But it has this aura of power. It's bold. The front grill is flat, not trying to be too aerodynamic like most cars. The front hood is not trying to be fancy, it's flat and sleek. The windshield is wide and comes up at a good angle, then the roof tapers down to the rear of the car. The back of the car is wide. These are all of the things I tried to capture in my build. The only creative license I took that kind of varies from the picture was to put more blocks around the wheels to give them more cover, which I thought was okay because people are always customizing these things anyway.

EDIT: I was having trouble with this spinning out, so I decided to edit the bot a bit. The new changes are shown on the gray bot. The biggest change was to lift the wheels up by one block. This changes the handling so much! There's much less weight above the wheels rocking around when it turns so it's much more responsive. Decided to go with 9 plasma since there is plenty of room on this bot for weapons. It has 3 interior wheels and 3 interior puma thrusters. The speed tops out at about 190, not too bad. Had a little extra CPU so I put the little electro shield on the front. Also I was reviewing more images of the car online and saw that the sides scoop in a bit, so I tried to show that in the new design, though in Robocraft it scoops in a little more than I'd like. Oh well, still looks cool I think.

*edit: Just added 3 images. I added a power module and had to make the bot shorter. I also added rails and changed the wheel wells.

Yeah, they're hard. From the back they look like vertical lines which would have been easy. But from the side they slope down. Maybe I'll go try some glass on it and see how that looks. thanks :)

Constructive Points

Constructive points are what you get when other users mark your reviews (comment+ratings) as constructive.

When should you mark a review as constructive though?

If you answer yes to at least three of these questions you should definitely mark it as constructive; is the review..

  1. friendly?
  2. helpful?
  3. encouraging?
  4. well structured?
  5. fair relative to the CPU used?

Why do I want these points?

After receiving X amount of points you will get a chance of being promoted to "trusted reviewer". This promotion is done by a moderator if (s)he thinks your comment and rating behaviour is reasonable.

Trusted reviewer?

As a trusted reviewer you no longer need to write a comment when rating a robot. If you add a comment you will receive extra points. Trusted reviewer is not necessarily permanent, continous bad behaviour or lack of comments might get you demoted.
