Advent, The Protonium Crisis

Plasma Walker added 5 months ago

This is Advent, a massive Terabot created by The Infected underground directly on Mars. The Ultimate weapon that was responsible of all megabots on Mars got vaporized. It's powered by multiple protonium reactors inside it, which grant destructive long-range shots that are precise enough to shoot down orbiting vessels. Also they power its personal fusion shield around its body, making it almost invincible.

The road to Mars, the main source of protonium extraction is cut off for both factions now, so the further production of high-energy-cost megabots is postponed indefinitely.

Only few E-14 and CF-Alliance outposts are still operating on Mars without any hope of salvation.

P.S.: Sorry guys, too busy to continue making vids, so I'm just uploading some pics of this robo :p

Nice. What a monster of a bot. So if you kept an old megabay it maintains the CPU for that bay. It that right. If so I'm spewing..... wish I still had one to mess around in. Great colours and detail. Would of been nice to of seen some mega insect legs back in the day..... this thing would of really come to life. Your design really shows this in the leg details. Pitty you don't play RC much anymore.....still drop in everynow and then and blow us away again some time.

Damn... Another great builder leaving, I hope you stay around for a bit. Your bots inspired me to make some cool hybrids. I hope one day you will post a bot out of the blue and suprise everyone, but till that day. Good luck with anything other you have planned :)

Well only what I like is the picture recolored , the bot seems fragile also not compact , and people need robot for all mode , if you can make a hibrid it be great.

I only rating on originaly deisign , also the practical use , as you can see bot easy take down , and everyone can re-color hud which take only 10 min for video if you got pro tool , you should have own rating , not if 1 person gave 10/10 then all add without asking for own opinion.

TBH we shouldn't rate it as a practical bot... But creativity in the bot itself or in the nice "photoshop" Yanriel made, is something you can't find somewhere else... I mean Yanriel makes weird things for sure, it reminds me these capside virus... but well...

Not only that these things are weird, if you take a look deep inside the design you can find out that they are nice, with a lot of small details.. wanted or not, who knows, they are here.

To me, the creative rating isn't really "I like it" or "I don't like it" it's more like :
Originality(3/3) : is the design overused, or is it something unique...
Complexity (3/3): is the design a classic wedge without any details (god I saw so many)
Harmony (3/3): is the bot good overall, I mean if you have a bot with colors not matching together, or just shapes not going well together, the bot can't be good looking...
Also I would give an extra 1/1 point for my own point of view, if I or I don't like it.

About your "fair rating" I think only the practical one is "fair" but well... graphic artbots aren't mean to be practical so...

>wanted or not, who knows, they are here
With the amount of time that my robots are held before I upload them, you can be sure that every small detail is as intended :D

Yeah, such rating system would work well here: you rate at different steps, like you said for its Originality/Complexity etc, then it shows the average rating x)

Game exp from artist to devart is diffrent , everyone rate on some little sense of detail , originality , also Zalera ur robot's are way better and original than this one , sorry Yanriel , but you should try better to make me impressive.

How is Yanriel's design not considered original? He/she is legitimately the only person to create walker styled designs like this with this color scheme. If you are so unimpressed by a design like this one, how about you try creating one like it, and come back when you see how hard it is to perfect things like the chassis frame, proportions, and the level of detail. I get that you want to rate independently of others to give a "fair" rating, but this just feels like an agenda to me. The amount of work Yanriel puts into their submissions always deserves 10s on the creativity rating, regardless of the practical rating.

LePrimeMehster I respect you opinion , but the turret need look better , anyone can make some turret and photoshop video but when you think fairly you will notice some requirement's are not meet , his video is nice , but I judge bot rememeber , I gave already for video rating , but the turret need more effort to make me happy and give 10/10 ^^

And they just keep getting bigger, and bigger, and bigger... My oh my, you certainly aren't losing your style soon are you Yanriel? I have to admit, I am impressed that you fit this large and this detailed of a chassis into 1750 CPU. The picture editing is spot on, although it feels a tiny bit overdone. Not that I don't appreciate the modified images, but I think that it would be only an benefit to include a mix of edited shots and in-game shots to better let the viewers see the bot themselves.
Regardless, I love the color scheme, and how it is integrated into the rest of the design to create a towering monstrosity. It's your biggest, and quite frankly, I think it's your best build yet. Awesome work as I've come to expect out of you!

Constructive Points

Constructive points are what you get when other users mark your reviews (comment+ratings) as constructive.

When should you mark a review as constructive though?

If you answer yes to at least three of these questions you should definitely mark it as constructive; is the review..

  1. friendly?
  2. helpful?
  3. encouraging?
  4. well structured?
  5. fair relative to the CPU used?

Why do I want these points?
