Grand Gigantus

SMG Tank added 3 years ago

Yes this is a T4.

Role/Playstyle:
Designed to trade blows and soak up damage in tight spaces where speed is useless and no cover is available to recharge shields. (Pure block HP tank)

Defense:
The Core of the tank is made from T4 blocks.
White blocks are there to absorb and direct damage flow from plasma and railguns.

widened out the base to reduce overhead plasma damage from getting to the tracks

functional pieces like radar are shielded and hidden

The tank is 6 blocks high. allowing movement of pilot seat into multiple locations. including both rear "sidepods" (Because people don't target them)

Can be configured to run on 3 or 4 tracks depending on pilot seat location.

Offense tactics:
Gun placement in a V shape, allowing me to turn half my guns away when expecting damage. (one side usually remains fully functional in most cases)

Gun exposure (Front to back)
100 / 70 / 60 / 15 / 15

I really like this design but I think it would be much cooler as a hover.

Thanks. But this isn't a creative build, It's a practical one.

But I do appreciate the feedback, you're the first one to give any meaningful critique that actually tells me ways I can "improve" the design.

Thanks.

This kinda reminds me of FJ's Monstrosity except a lower tier.

How are they similar?

The only similarity I see is it uses 4 tracks?

Sorry, I still don't see how they're similar except for common sense.
Like putting the body between the tracks and having the rear wider and higher than the front.

They aren't even designed for the same weapons.

Constructive Points

Constructive points are what you get when other users mark your reviews (comment+ratings) as constructive.

When should you mark a review as constructive though?

If you answer yes to at least three of these questions you should definitely mark it as constructive; is the review..

  1. friendly?
  2. helpful?
  3. encouraging?
  4. well structured?
  5. fair relative to the CPU used?

Why do I want these points?

After receiving X amount of points you will get a chance of being promoted to "trusted reviewer". This promotion is done by a moderator if (s)he thinks your comment and rating behaviour is reasonable.

Trusted reviewer?

As a trusted reviewer you no longer need to write a comment when rating a robot. If you add a comment you will receive extra points. Trusted reviewer is not necessarily permanent, continous bad behaviour or lack of comments might get you demoted.

Constructive Voting

Hey, seems like you're about to place your first constructive vote. That's awesome! I just wanted to inform you a bit about it before you jump into voting though. You can vote on any comment accompanied with a rating as a "Constructive Review". This will give the reviewer a "Constructive Point".
