Aerostatic Tesla Bot

Tesla Flier added 1 year ago

Behold the aerostatic tesla bot.

I didn't put much effort in building this bot.
Not as powerful as the tesla ball or as fast as those little tesla blade combat bots.

It has aerostatic movement and good rotational/vertical speed, though.

I managed to get 16 kills with the supposedly-useless bot. Most of the time, the bot's tesla blades don't spark a kill. In conclusion, I think it's a good defense bot with potential design improvement.

I DID IT. I MADE AN AERO-STATIC FLYER! Are you proud of me? ;u; If I ever post an aero-static design on this site I'll be sure to credit you though.
Man the helium placement is so important

Oh wow that's very interesting! I'd love to see it as long as you credit me. Just a head up, never make a tutorial b/c your aerostatic bots can ruin Robocraft. Look at Chuly's nerf ball as an example . Just advertise your robot for rent. I got 22,500 GC so far.

I won't post it here because it's not as good as the ones you've done (It's also a lower rank equivalent). And yeah I'm not going to make a tutorial on it; that's up to you to do. If I did it'd be terrible anyway.
EDIT: I managed to break it somehow, testing to fix it.

I see. Well it's cool that you finally experienced the aerostatic movement. Happy building!

Are those two blue tetras behind the seat for balancing it?

Fruggo, I played you with this bot last night. It was so hilarious that I spent most of today finding the build. I see that I'm in the video (I'm the guy with the blue text.) This looks amazingly fun, even more fun than TENGA2's tesla disc. Would love a tutorial.

EDIT: How does it stay stable in mid-air (e. g. the bot doesn't tilt downward/upward?) Is it the positioning of the thrusters so that it's on it's center of thrust?

It may be a good bot for the pit, did you try ?
Edit : Forgot what I said, I've just remember that only 35m bots can go in the pit

Constructive Points

Constructive points are what you get when other users mark your reviews (comment+ratings) as constructive.

When should you mark a review as constructive though?

If you answer yes to at least three of these questions you should definitely mark it as constructive; is the review..

  1. friendly?
  2. helpful?
  3. encouraging?
  4. well structured?
  5. fair relative to the CPU used?

Why do I want these points?

After receiving X amount of points you will get a chance of being promoted to "trusted reviewer". This promotion is done by a moderator if (s)he thinks your comment and rating behaviour is reasonable.

Trusted reviewer?

As a trusted reviewer you no longer need to write a comment when rating a robot. If you add a comment you will receive extra points. Trusted reviewer is not necessarily permanent, continous bad behaviour or lack of comments might get you demoted.

Constructive Voting

Hey, seems like you're about to place your first constructive vote. That's awesome! I just wanted to inform you a bit about it before you jump into voting though. You can vote on any comment accompanied with a rating as a "Constructive Review". This will give the reviewer a "Constructive Point".
