0-Drift Tumbler

SMG Cruiser added 1 year ago

smg cruiser

-10 guns with excellent clearance
-8 wheels (all steering)
-internal rudders and thrusters for speed and stability
-low weight 920 slope chassis

NO MORE CRAZY DRIFTING I SAY!

With some experimentation into new wheel mechanics aimed to remove the ridiculous drift 360's every time you try and make a turn more than 10 degrees, and some help from Lightstorm, the solution to retarted cruiser physics is here ^^ With internal rudders to make steering normal and very responsive (no drifting at all) and with wheels now able to actually climb slopes, I believe that cruisers may actually become a viable option once more. I have played a few games with this bot and it is just like driving cruisers in the old days of robocraft (if not a bit faster). As for the bot, plenty of slope armour makes it tough and fast, and all movement components and mounts are protected. Feedback is appreciated ^^

Give cruisers another chance :) (just be sure to pop some rudders in there otherwise they aren't really controllable...)

whoa that triforce with the new blocks
I hate the physics of the game, wheels dont work properly, etc etc. Not playing till they release Phase 3.

just test out a cruiser with some rudders inside like mine dude. I think you might be surprised by how tamed the physics are :)

Interesting solution you have there. Robot looks light and redundant, so good job.

Although that rudder setup does make it a tiny bit slower :)
Insignificant though.

Constructive Points

Constructive points are what you get when other users mark your reviews (comment+ratings) as constructive.

When should you mark a review as constructive though?

If you answer yes to at least three of these questions you should definitely mark it as constructive; is the review..

  1. friendly?
  2. helpful?
  3. encouraging?
  4. well structured?
  5. fair relative to the CPU used?

Why do I want these points?

After receiving X amount of points you will get a chance of being promoted to "trusted reviewer". This promotion is done by a moderator if (s)he thinks your comment and rating behaviour is reasonable.

Trusted reviewer?

As a trusted reviewer you no longer need to write a comment when rating a robot. If you add a comment you will receive extra points. Trusted reviewer is not necessarily permanent, continous bad behaviour or lack of comments might get you demoted.

Constructive Voting

Hey, seems like you're about to place your first constructive vote. That's awesome! I just wanted to inform you a bit about it before you jump into voting though. You can vote on any comment accompanied with a rating as a "Constructive Review". This will give the reviewer a "Constructive Point".
