Halloween Death Train

General Robot added 2 months ago

***Another quick update: I put a non-cosmetic version in the shop as well for anyone without glass or cosmetic pieces :)

** Quick update: Well I've been battling and working on editing the bot for survivability. This is the first tank I've made since the health bonus was introduced and I gotta say, this thing is amazing as a tank. The inside was hollowed out just a bit, but I was finding shotguns that really focused on the middle of my bot were having success hacking at the middle and killing me prematurely. I ended up slightly redesigning the bot and shortening the front and rear of the train each by one block. This gave me the cpu needed to fill in the middle. I also triforced the outer layer of the mid section. These few changes have made it much stronger and other than being just a little shorter, the bot looks the same.

I must be in the holiday spirit because I just had to make another Halloween bot! Recently I saw And42ru's Rhino train, and it really made me want to make a train of my own. And boy is she a tank! There is enough cpu left for 14 hornet lasers, which would make it a full 2k cpu bot. Basically it's an art bot, completely unbattle-tested as of now, and I have no idea where I'm gonna put those 14 guns, but this is definitely going to see some battle action to celebrate Halloween XD

Nice train, but a bit repetitive in some spots, maybe try some different blocks?

I like the repetition. I mean, it worked for Andy Warhol.

I probably could update the pics though because the design has changed slightly since my initial build. Really just the section around the rear wheels has changed though. I guess if someone just HAS to see the small change, they can check it out in the crf.

No offence, but there's a rather large difference between painting a portrait then repeating it and placing down a block a few times imo.

Not saying your bot is bad tho.

Constructive Points

Constructive points are what you get when other users mark your reviews (comment+ratings) as constructive.

When should you mark a review as constructive though?

If you answer yes to at least three of these questions you should definitely mark it as constructive; is the review..

  1. friendly?
  2. helpful?
  3. encouraging?
  4. well structured?
  5. fair relative to the CPU used?

Why do I want these points?

After receiving X amount of points you will get a chance of being promoted to "trusted reviewer". This promotion is done by a moderator if (s)he thinks your comment and rating behaviour is reasonable.

Trusted reviewer?

As a trusted reviewer you no longer need to write a comment when rating a robot. If you add a comment you will receive extra points. Trusted reviewer is not necessarily permanent, continous bad behaviour or lack of comments might get you demoted.

Constructive Voting

Hey, seems like you're about to place your first constructive vote. That's awesome! I just wanted to inform you a bit about it before you jump into voting though. You can vote on any comment accompanied with a rating as a "Constructive Review". This will give the reviewer a "Constructive Point".
