Roadrunner

Rail Hover added 1 year ago

Roadrunner - gtstarwars
*Excellent Support bot*
*On The CRF*
*Interchangeable loadouts if desired*
*Useable for all gamemodes*

About the bot
As you all know, rail hovers are quite effective when it comes to a bot with rails. Mounting them on a hover gives it the agility and speed the mechs don't have. The roadrunner is a power module T8 rail hover that is able to output more shots than a T10 rail hover, at the cost of less damage applied per shot. This bot is fairly tough on its own, but as you all know, its not meant to tank forever. The core is built nicely to ensure the skeleton and main frame is intact when you are on low hp in order to get away.

General Info
This Rail hover is meant to be a support bot, it is not meant to frontline, although if you have a good aim, you can be able to go for those one on one fights. The bot handles very smoothly and has a nice sleek look with a great paintjob to go along with it. It comes with a powerbooster which gives more shots as you are using the T8 rails. The max nanos are to heal teamates if you are platooning or those who need heals. This bot can strafe if needed to, but due to cpu restrictions, it doesnt have enough side thrusters. I recommend playing without strafe as the turning thrusters allow the bot to be more agile. The module is encased and well protected.

Bot Stats
-Movement: 7 Max Hovers
-Weapons: 6 T8 Rails, 2 Max Nanos

Pros
-Fully triforced and rodforced
-Gun mounts protected
-Very smooth control, handles nicely even at low health
-It can strafe, but I recommend no strafe for more agility
-Very stable with the nametag plates

Cons
-T8 Rails don't give as high dmg as T10
-Not a frontline bot
-Megaplasma can degun

Long time no see! I've been trying to match my play schedule with yours, but you seem quite elusive :P. But man, does that look sweet. I like how you've taken on that olive color as your own, and contrasted it well with the black and blue highlights, although the frame is quite similar to the standard wedge frame. That being said, I can't argue with the practical advantages that brings, and the build quality looks top notch, so I wouldn't doubt this design's durability. Great work!

Long time no see indeed! Thanks for the great rating, and yes :D, that color combo sure does look sweet! The blue sorta makes the "eyes" of the bot, and yea, wedge style, but I made sure internals were good in order to keep a skeleton that can get away even at low hp. Thanks for stopping by and hope we can platoon sometime in the future!

Eyes were the exact same thing I was thinking while writing this comment. If only they came up with glass slopes and the other shapes. That would really make this design look awesome. Trust me, I don't doubt your internals. A quick look at some of the exposed details of the connections on the outside tells me all I needed to know about what was really inside the design, so no need to reassure me of the quality there, XD. Also, what rank are you as of now?

cheers :D and I am currently P-5, if you need some ranking up, feel free to inv me to platoon when I'm on. Would love to help with ranking up as solo queues can be quite frustrating

It looks good but doesn't it loose control when you loose 1 side of thrusters?

nope :D, the thrusters are well protected and theres enough protection to prevent one side from falling off completely

Constructive Points

Constructive points are what you get when other users mark your reviews (comment+ratings) as constructive.

When should you mark a review as constructive though?

If you answer yes to at least three of these questions you should definitely mark it as constructive; is the review..

  1. friendly?
  2. helpful?
  3. encouraging?
  4. well structured?
  5. fair relative to the CPU used?

Why do I want these points?

After receiving X amount of points you will get a chance of being promoted to "trusted reviewer". This promotion is done by a moderator if (s)he thinks your comment and rating behaviour is reasonable.

Trusted reviewer?

As a trusted reviewer you no longer need to write a comment when rating a robot. If you add a comment you will receive extra points. Trusted reviewer is not necessarily permanent, continous bad behaviour or lack of comments might get you demoted.

Constructive Voting

Hey, seems like you're about to place your first constructive vote. That's awesome! I just wanted to inform you a bit about it before you jump into voting though. You can vote on any comment accompanied with a rating as a "Constructive Review". This will give the reviewer a "Constructive Point".
