Big CORK

Missile Mech added 2 years ago

[AVAILABLE ON THE CRF]
Big CORK is meant for defense and holding back the enemy, hence the name CORK. (Corks stop things :3)
I wanted a mech with missiles and ion distorters which would be good for general damage which actually turned out pretty well for EARTH.

I know that 2 main big weapons is bad as they can be shot off, BUT NOT IF YOU PLAY IT PROPERLY. Its great!
Unfortuatly there was not enough CPU for modules :( Mabye V.2...

BOOM - Its so fun to play!

A nice mech but alas we are in a sea of tred and tested designs - although strafing works well it also severely hinders your bots ability to cover being flanked

Trust me I've used it to my advantage numerous times hehe, that coupled with the side mounts weapons means although you probably play to this bots strengths there are still inherent weaknesses when 1v1 with other mechs

Nice design just I think we've all seen enough mechs to last us a life time :-)

I don't use strafe. I know the weaknesses but it's more of a support bot yet can excel in close combat.
It's tri-forced and everything. I could make some changes.
Mechs are cool...

Well if you don't use strafe then it goes the other way.

You don't have anything much past forward facing guns, a majority are sidemounted and therefore you need to be facing your target for maximum DPS.

Also the nanos can't heal forward, i.e. if you're trying to get to someone to heal them, you have to actually turn your back on them to heal them hehe

I get that it's triforced, did you mount all guns directly onto the legs? However as said before, something has to be truly unique and zero flaws to stand out amongst the plethora of other mechs out there :)

Sorry I meant fire rate, not foretaste
:P

I understand that. This mech I wanted to use different weapons.
2 missiles is pointless
2 ion distorted work but I don't wanna be frontline. It was more for incase of close combat situations. Also the foretaste would mean I would run out of power quickly.
However the weapons are easy swapped, removed or changed as they have the same mount.
It's good bot to play with. Long range and close up :)

Please can I have a rating :)
