JUNO - XIV "Gizmo"

Plasma Tank added 1 year ago

It's another Drossel! This time though, it's the winter themed variety, dubbed "Gizmo".

Drossel Von Flugel has two models based on the show, those being the JUNO-XIII (the sleek yet strangely outdated chassis), and this one, which is a "reskin" of the JUNO-XIV chassis for winter. I chose this reskin because Drossel had tracks to use for transportation, and I really wanted to make a bot like this function without using legs or hovers.

This bot was a bit interesting to make, to say the least. It didn't rely on any hoverblades or mech legs for stability (and I personally love using both). This bot relied on TWO tank tracks and the ski poles in order to stand, and nothing else! I was honestly surprised that it worked; I never knew the tracks had such strength!

Unfortunately after the weight changes of tracks, this thing always finds a way to fall. Replacing it with hovers makes it stable, but then it defeats the purpose of having tracks anyway. Thus, this bot sits in my bay, collecting dust :(

This thing has the bare minimum 6 Plasma Launcher. You could probably fit a lot more with other guns, but I just like using Plasma.

In its former glory, this thing used to tank A LOT of damage. As much as this thing looks huge, it's surprisingly compact thanks to its form. This, combined with the slightly hidden and armored tracks gives a lot of bots a run for their money!

Sums up almost everything I create in Robocraft, to be honest.

Constructive Points

Constructive points are what you get when other users mark your reviews (comment+ratings) as constructive.

When should you mark a review as constructive though?

If you answer yes to at least three of these questions you should definitely mark it as constructive; is the review..

  1. friendly?
  2. helpful?
  3. encouraging?
  4. well structured?
  5. fair relative to the CPU used?

Why do I want these points?

After receiving X amount of points you will get a chance of being promoted to "trusted reviewer". This promotion is done by a moderator if (s)he thinks your comment and rating behaviour is reasonable.

Trusted reviewer?

As a trusted reviewer you no longer need to write a comment when rating a robot. If you add a comment you will receive extra points. Trusted reviewer is not necessarily permanent, continous bad behaviour or lack of comments might get you demoted.

Constructive Voting

Hey, seems like you're about to place your first constructive vote. That's awesome! I just wanted to inform you a bit about it before you jump into voting though. You can vote on any comment accompanied with a rating as a "Constructive Review". This will give the reviewer a "Constructive Point".
