Railbug Mk.V

Rail Drone added 3 years ago

This is my primary ass kicking bot. I'm rarely not the most overclocked bot in standard battles.

It's durable enough to take a few shots and keep going, can loose most legs and still have good control.

The forward section uses spaced armor principles without the spacing. This way a lucky shot between the shields will not take out the entire forward half of the bot, instead the damage will be redirect lengthwise, forfeiting only one half of the forward section, which still leaves the bot with 5 out out of 6 rails and full mobility.

The components positions have been fine tuned for optimum space usage to present a fairly small target. More than 1 sniper missed me because of this when I was running away.

It flies smoothly and precisely with good speed, allowing quick relocation to best assist the team.

Generaly i noticed the first things to go when hit by plasmas are legs and shields.

The 1-st volley likely takes 1-2 or even 3 legs and one or 2 shield plates.

The 2-nd volley will probably take out the forward half of the bot, at which point the rear 2 legs and rails still give me good mobility and a bit of fighting-back ability.

The 3-rd plasma volley is usually crippling to the point of becoming a sitting wreck if not dead.

But usually by the time plasmas get close enough to shoot, they're either crippled or waiting to respawn.

The bug is meant for stealth, and shooting the enemy from high cliffs at long range, preferably when they are engaged with team mates.

Looks really good and stable. You even used triforcing.Nice. How long does the bug resist against plasma bombers??

Constructive Points

Constructive points are what you get when other users mark your reviews (comment+ratings) as constructive.

When should you mark a review as constructive though?

If you answer yes to at least three of these questions you should definitely mark it as constructive; is the review..

  1. friendly?
  2. helpful?
  3. encouraging?
  4. well structured?
  5. fair relative to the CPU used?

Why do I want these points?

After receiving X amount of points you will get a chance of being promoted to "trusted reviewer". This promotion is done by a moderator if (s)he thinks your comment and rating behaviour is reasonable.

Trusted reviewer?

As a trusted reviewer you no longer need to write a comment when rating a robot. If you add a comment you will receive extra points. Trusted reviewer is not necessarily permanent, continous bad behaviour or lack of comments might get you demoted.
