Jumper MK:3 (Jumping Car)

SMG Cruiser added 1 month ago

I've been thinking of rebuilding my old jumping tank but then i remembered how slow mechlegs are (yes i know it has tracks but still the main movement for some reason is a mech leg whitch destroy's speed)so i decided to make a jumping car but instead of slow mech leg use insect leg (because if you jump and hold space when you land the leg wont be touching the ground so the wheels get their speed back).Jumper is a fast car that can jump out of plasma's way and its quite fun to play.It has around 3.3mil health total. Its 1776 CPU and works really well with smg's or plasmas (i wish we had plasmas shoot at the same time again). Its decently triforced and rodforced, but it's still pretty weak being split in half because for some reason wheels stop turning when there's only half of a bot left even though it has all 8 stearing wheels

Hey a tip, if it's not steering when you lose your back half, make it so only the front and back pair of wheels are turning wheels, then if that split happens you can drive away controllably. As when you have all steering, the two in the front turn left and the two in the front turn right to turn left, and if the back two pairs get killed then the front two are both facing left. So it will just slide and not turn.

Yeah i have been thinking of doing that but i kinda found it more effective (?) with all stearing, you know playing tdm you go in kill a nearly dead person and you drive away, but in the proccess your back and front will get shot at the most so i was thinking of changing the first and third wheels to normal ones.

That does work also, just depends on how you play the bot :)

Constructive Points

Constructive points are what you get when other users mark your reviews (comment+ratings) as constructive.

When should you mark a review as constructive though?

If you answer yes to at least three of these questions you should definitely mark it as constructive; is the review..

  1. friendly?
  2. helpful?
  3. encouraging?
  4. well structured?
  5. fair relative to the CPU used?

Why do I want these points?

After receiving X amount of points you will get a chance of being promoted to "trusted reviewer". This promotion is done by a moderator if (s)he thinks your comment and rating behaviour is reasonable.

Trusted reviewer?

As a trusted reviewer you no longer need to write a comment when rating a robot. If you add a comment you will receive extra points. Trusted reviewer is not necessarily permanent, continous bad behaviour or lack of comments might get you demoted.

Constructive Voting

Hey, seems like you're about to place your first constructive vote. That's awesome! I just wanted to inform you a bit about it before you jump into voting though. You can vote on any comment accompanied with a rating as a "Constructive Review". This will give the reviewer a "Constructive Point".
