Mini Stinger MKII

General Robot added 1 year ago

Let me present Mini Stinger MK II

This is a pure melee-bot: "in - kill - leave".

Thoughts regarding this build:

I wanted to make a really durable Shredder-bot so the middle of the bot is built to take a lot of punishment. As you can see the Shredders are fastened using rods that are pointing backwards (and both up + down). All 5 fastening points are used and the other end of each rod is triforced so that the damage is not transferred to another rod.

Thanks to this it is almost impossible for an enemy to shoot of the guns if an without actually shooting AT the guns.

The front of the bot is triforced so that it creates two extra shield layers of blocks.

The heart of the bot is a Power Booster Module that makes it possible to fire for quite a while before it runs out of energy.

There is also a Blink Module at the back of the bot to enable fast retreats...

The bot has 7 Tornado Hover blades - 5 of them are quite well concealed inside the body and hard to shoot off.

I'm really pleased with how it performs :-)

Hi, yes it has 2 modules: one energy to make sure continuous fire for quite a while and one blink module to escape if an enemy managed to shoot off both guns. Btw - I added a picture where I used this but with my other account (CrystalCruncher). This is not the normal outcome (I've done both better and worse) but I rarely end up below place 2 in my team (which usually wins) :-)

Thanks for your rating. I see what you are getting at but I have other bots for that. This is really a pure melee-machine :-). However I'd love to copy/paste bots in robocraft. I have a lot of ideas on how to rebuild this one but I need to create a copy first cause I don't want to destroy this one (it's too good)...

Constructive Points

Constructive points are what you get when other users mark your reviews (comment+ratings) as constructive.

When should you mark a review as constructive though?

If you answer yes to at least three of these questions you should definitely mark it as constructive; is the review..

  1. friendly?
  2. helpful?
  3. encouraging?
  4. well structured?
  5. fair relative to the CPU used?

Why do I want these points?

After receiving X amount of points you will get a chance of being promoted to "trusted reviewer". This promotion is done by a moderator if (s)he thinks your comment and rating behaviour is reasonable.

Trusted reviewer?

As a trusted reviewer you no longer need to write a comment when rating a robot. If you add a comment you will receive extra points. Trusted reviewer is not necessarily permanent, continous bad behaviour or lack of comments might get you demoted.

Constructive Voting

Hey, seems like you're about to place your first constructive vote. That's awesome! I just wanted to inform you a bit about it before you jump into voting though. You can vote on any comment accompanied with a rating as a "Constructive Review". This will give the reviewer a "Constructive Point".
