So hey people, it's been a while isn't it?
By the way, for the very few who know the game, this name is inspired from a quest title in it, I'll let you try to guess which game I'm speaking of, if you actually guess, my, nah, I bet none of you will guess heh
I noticed something in FJ's late moves. Something that I find very pleasing, despite my hate.
The latest updates, although failed and which brought more loss of players than gain (Don't have the stats, but it's clear that RC's community isn't growing, in the first days, FJ reached 1 mil users in no time, now, they're not growing that much) have actually a common aim.
FJ wants to make the game fun for everyone.
Funny thing to say in those days since 99% of the added stuff is only for max tiers. But fact is, they are meant to make the game fun for everyone.
They removed block tiers to prevent too overpowered block beasts that were only owned by big players, they added the CRF to make good bots available for new players and so on. FJ wants to break the robocraft elitists who are holding some of their holy knowledge and despise the newly arrived players.
That sure is a good idea (even though I'm one of these elitists in a way :P), however, it seems FJ's good faith is struggling with some raw stupidity.
The updates are all unbalanced and require around 4 hotfixes to be they way they were supposed to be. The idea to make a game fun for everyone is good, but the way FJ is trying to achieve it is a mess. Elitism in computer games is a way to make a cast of players that become legends in the game's lore and their achievements become a flare in the night.
I dare you to say I'm wrong on that one.
The way FJ wants to make the game, deletes all kinds of elitism and skill-rewarding. By that, I mean that now anyone can kill anyone.
Simple, since everyone has a good bot, since some weapons (follow my eyes) don't require any skill to be used and since all blocks have the same health, new players can easily kill experienced players.
Problem is, in online games, fighting experienced players and winning is usually a reward for new players, a way for them to feel the payback of their own training. Right now, this payback is null, killing experienced players is no longer rewarding (except rare cases involving streamers). You don't have the same surge of adrenaline!
Another problem is that FJ clearly know what they're doing, some people say "what the hell are you doing", but when I look back at the recent updates, I see that FJ is aiming toward something, a new robocraft, and they're only making it live piece by piece, thing is, this new robocraft is so different, that the pieces don't fit in the current one. Thus making everything a bit messy and awkward.
Yet I don't lose hope in FJ, and this where my title makes sense, I see a lot of people on robocraft and robocraftgarage saying "I'm quitting robocraft, it sucks, cya all".
But think about it, would the devs want to work hard on a game everyone abandons? This happened on some games that proved promising, result was that devs simply made another game and did all the mistakes over again (Ace of spades is a good example, and it's heir block'n load or smth like that).
Don't quit! Instead, send reports to FJ! Spam their mails! Tell them what do YOU want and don't! And don't say "blah blah u suk bals", say something incredible, with arguments! FJ can't know what you want, if you keep complaining! They will sure know what you don't like, but they sure as hell won't know what to do to prevent that!
Yeah, I rarely say positive stuff about FJ.
Still, sorry for the reddit-like post ;P
About the bot, coz this is supposed to be a bot site and all...
The thing is pretty good, could be much better if teslas still had instant damage but eh...
Pretty agile for it's size, full triforced body, allows to take a full volley of plasmas and still be able to move in some place safe.
Also, THIS. IS. A. SLED. it does NOT fly!
and it doesn't have any modules.
Yeah, who said I must only say good stuff about my bots, as far as I'm concerned, they're not on the CRF, they will never be, so I don't need to convince you to buy them.
Hah. Thug life.
