~{KATANA UNLEASHED}~ MkI "The rebirth"

Plasma Sled added 1 year ago

Aww, this bot brings me so much memories.

First, a bit of history (don't worry, it won't be long).
So when I first joined robocraft (forgot the exact date, but I know for sure that it was before the spotting thing), I was playing mainly cruiser back then, a big fat school-bus shaped cruiser with wheels inside and many smgs. And I couldn't wait to unlock rudders and plasmas. (When I unlocked the last ones, I didn't play smg ever again until lvl100).
And so when I finally got my rudders, I tested around the possibilities and looked at people's bots.
And this is when I saw it. The "Katana" sled.
This is a really old build that was a bit popular among drone drivers try-hards (like me).
It was usually a wing placed vertically in the front, like a sword (that's why it's called a katana) and the bot was built around it (though closer to the wing's connection spot). Most of them were sleds, but some were fliers as well.
Their advantages? None! It was weak, but provided you had an overtiered weapon and sturdy skills, you could manage.

And I decided to give this old tech a new youth, through a series of robots.
Of course, my designs will be legit and functional 25k builds, and are therefore more evolved than the original overtiered tiny drone.

And here is the first one, the first one I upload that is.
I already built others, but there weren't good enough.

ALSO:
With the flooding of flak canons, sleds are currently really powerful, because you're simply too fast for flaks ;)

So Cool! I never heard of this kind of bot. I've seen all kinds of sleds but not this kind. I need one.

Really nice bot, I love cosmetic use of wings. I think sleds will be more popular now.

Constructive Points

Constructive points are what you get when other users mark your reviews (comment+ratings) as constructive.

When should you mark a review as constructive though?

If you answer yes to at least three of these questions you should definitely mark it as constructive; is the review..

  1. friendly?
  2. helpful?
  3. encouraging?
  4. well structured?
  5. fair relative to the CPU used?

Why do I want these points?

After receiving X amount of points you will get a chance of being promoted to "trusted reviewer". This promotion is done by a moderator if (s)he thinks your comment and rating behaviour is reasonable.

Trusted reviewer?

As a trusted reviewer you no longer need to write a comment when rating a robot. If you add a comment you will receive extra points. Trusted reviewer is not necessarily permanent, continous bad behaviour or lack of comments might get you demoted.

Constructive Voting

Hey, seems like you're about to place your first constructive vote. That's awesome! I just wanted to inform you a bit about it before you jump into voting though. You can vote on any comment accompanied with a rating as a "Constructive Review". This will give the reviewer a "Constructive Point".
