Face Hugger

SMG Hover added 1 year ago

Updated bot at Face Mugger

Inspired as a hybrid between BoboRossa's Gunslinger and LitteBitHarsh's Iron Star.

I liked the Gunslinger more as it was a more stable craft but I decided telsa's would help in situations where a good push is needed to break the enemies line. Espeically when the enamy has a deidicated medic teslas are required.

Timing is everything, but with experience this bot can significantly alter the tide of battle (TDM). Of course with a dedicated medic this rocks but its more durable than most of its type. Will keep going after a full plasma volley or two. Works well in BA also for quick tower capturing.

Features.
2x MSMG's
4x SMG's
5x Hovers, very stable and fast.
2x EP's, mainly for looks :P
3x Teslas, they come into there own every 3 games or so.

Wonderfully tri-forced and rod-forced so that damage to the Tesla's (if they see me first) get re-routed the long way around the sides and to the back. Each MSMG is on its own mounting section, each of the 3 connections points leads to a different part of the main body.
The thrusters ensure great acceleration and extremely responsive handling.

Remaining questions for the next version, should I remove the EP's and use the cpu for armor and internal thrusters? should I stay with 5 hovers or remove one for more cpu?

In shop now. Comments and feedback most welcome.

As far as I can tell from in-game experience, weapons shoot straight through your own teslas. I don't think I have ever had them clip before.
Beautiful bot! Bonus points for teh hugz.

Lovely bot buddy - looks like great fun!

In this current age of cheap cosmetics, you can't afford NOT to stock up on carbon styling this weekend (hint hint) :D

It looks fairly good except for the obvious problems with gun clearance, but it wasn't EvilGamer's Iron Star...lol. it was LitteBitHarsh's.

Thanks for the correction, text has been amended. I didn't notice shots ever being blocked by the teslas. Is that what you meant by gun clearance?

Working on a new version with horizontal teslas, E.Ps removed and 5 smg's. Seem to work better so far

Nice MSMG fleshbot. These are basically the bane of my existence in BA as a plasma bomber, and are more than capable of carrying a team. I agree with your suggestion that you should remove the EP's, as this was a fleshbot from the beginning, and put it toward more speed or weapon redundancy, important for any ground bot. Some in game footage or a tutorial would be welcomed by many :D !

Constructive Points

Constructive points are what you get when other users mark your reviews (comment+ratings) as constructive.

When should you mark a review as constructive though?

If you answer yes to at least three of these questions you should definitely mark it as constructive; is the review..

  1. friendly?
  2. helpful?
  3. encouraging?
  4. well structured?
  5. fair relative to the CPU used?

Why do I want these points?

After receiving X amount of points you will get a chance of being promoted to "trusted reviewer". This promotion is done by a moderator if (s)he thinks your comment and rating behaviour is reasonable.

Trusted reviewer?

As a trusted reviewer you no longer need to write a comment when rating a robot. If you add a comment you will receive extra points. Trusted reviewer is not necessarily permanent, continous bad behaviour or lack of comments might get you demoted.

Constructive Voting

Hey, seems like you're about to place your first constructive vote. That's awesome! I just wanted to inform you a bit about it before you jump into voting though. You can vote on any comment accompanied with a rating as a "Constructive Review". This will give the reviewer a "Constructive Point".
