If you read this, please comment, its very appreciated :D

Hi, After a long break from robocraft I'm finally back. Unfortunately one of my favorite bots is no longer functional due to changes in the carrying capacity of aerofoils so I have done some modifications to this vehicle to make it an effective fighting machine again.

The robot is a large bomber that is made of only health blocks. Its wings are protected by aerorods giving it a unique appearance compared to many of the other bombers that are normally made. I have heavily triforced this bot making it rather survivable allowing to fly at very low percentages of health.

Due to its hitpoints, triforcing and protected wings this plane is suited to take a large amount of damage allowing it to often fly directly overhead enemies and simply absorb the damage without having to use terrain for cover. This plane is set up primarily for the bomber role, however, I have mounted a small Rocket launcher to it to allow it to be effective against small nippy planes and thrustersticks.

If you have any comments or suggestions please leave them below with a rating. If anyone wants I can upload the frame to the community robot factor. Thanks for reading up to this point and have a nice day!

First match (heating my fingers) 12-2 with random folks (BA)...i was rushing like a kamikaze
Funny to play with it.
Gun placement aint perfect...but...its fast... it has thery good handling and survivability.

I agree that the gun placement is not Ideal but I do have a justification for it. The Rocket launcher would make the bot look awful if mounted on the tip of the front and cannot be mounted on the top due to the thrusters. I think your main reason for finding a problem with the gun placement, however, is not the launcher but the plasmas on the top which will almost never get a chance to fire. This is completely true but there is a reason I mounted them there. As you can see due to the bots central width it cannot fit two plasmas next to each other and thus would force me to alter the rod placement to accommodate them. This would cause those plasmas to be extremely vulnerable to any damage from the bottom making them fall off long before the bot can no longer fly. The two plasmas that are mounted next to each other are mounted through a trick a learned a long time ago and that is that slant blocks can be weaved between the aerorods. Unfortunately, that is the only place where that method would work. The reason I mounted two to the top, however, is that one they will almost never be destroyed due to their placement on the top, however, they will still increase the fire rate of those on the bottom. As long as a bot has 4 plasmas on it, it does not matter how many can shoot at the target as long as one still can so lets say I lose 2 guns on the bottom leaving only one there and I still have 2 on the top, that one gun on the bottom will fire at the rate of having 3 guns on the bottom. Test this for yourself. Make a large wall and place 3 plasmas on the back and one on the front. That one on the front will fire as fast as the ones on the back, What I am saying is that as long as one gun remains on the bottom it does not matter that two of them (the ones on the top) cannot fire at the target because the one on the bottom will fire at a high speed.

Actually they are usable (top plasmas) when shooting back enemies ...i knew the thing about plasmas and the fire rate, totally agree with that

Yea the placement is kind of a trade-off, for the most part the top plasmas are there to just increase fire rate. By placing some on the top it makes you less likely to lose fire rate (lose a gun) when someone is firing randomly however if someone is aiming then he can just shoot off the three gun and the top guns lose their purpose of increasing the fire rate of the bottom three. I figured that because its a plane and your worst enemy are flacks and rockets that it should be fine, If you do notice that you lose your bottom three guns too quickly tell me, I can try to fix the bottom

Ok, Its uploaded under the name Blood Lust, It can take a good amount of damage so don't be afraid to take rail shots however still be careful around flack, it can easily take shots of it but because flack damage scales with each hit it adds up fast.

Well thats because I was the one who built the first few caged winged planes that got posted on here, If you look at my other bots posted 2 of them are earlier models of this. I made a caged wing bot very similar to this the day or so after aero rods came out back when tiers were a thing, It was a tier 6 plasma bomber which I uploaded onto the community robot factory and then it sold over a hundred and I would occasionally see that exact plane flying around. Unfortunately, with the aerofoil changes, I have had to change the bottom set of wings to the 4th tier of rudders and have had to indent that layer by 1 to allow them to fit as well add the third stack on the back stack of the wings. Additionally I added the Missle launcher as this new one is relatively cheap while still being effective. I think you may have seen one of my early caged winged planes (BloodLust) which was the same plane without the changes I mentioned. Over all this plane is still very effective despite the nerf to rudders. I like this thing because with the addition of the new large rail this is the only plane I have built that can sustain multiple shots from it. I think I have a screenshot from a 15-0 game on this plane. I think im the only one using this type of design now as I dont see them at all anymore (I quit the game for a year after removal of elimination mode)
Anyways glad to see that you're still around as I remember you and thanks for commenting!

Constructive Points

Constructive points are what you get when other users mark your reviews (comment+ratings) as constructive.

When should you mark a review as constructive though?

If you answer yes to at least three of these questions you should definitely mark it as constructive; is the review..

  1. friendly?
  2. helpful?
  3. encouraging?
  4. well structured?
  5. fair relative to the CPU used?

Why do I want these points?

After receiving X amount of points you will get a chance of being promoted to "trusted reviewer". This promotion is done by a moderator if (s)he thinks your comment and rating behaviour is reasonable.

Trusted reviewer?

As a trusted reviewer you no longer need to write a comment when rating a robot. If you add a comment you will receive extra points. Trusted reviewer is not necessarily permanent, continous bad behaviour or lack of comments might get you demoted.

Constructive Voting

Hey, seems like you're about to place your first constructive vote. That's awesome! I just wanted to inform you a bit about it before you jump into voting though. You can vote on any comment accompanied with a rating as a "Constructive Review". This will give the reviewer a "Constructive Point".
