Eradicator

SMG Hover added 1 year ago

Heavily inspired by the effectiveness of Khoakuma's Beelzebul VII, I decided to make my own version with a bit more stylished design.

This bot exploits the fact that the energy usage rate of Laser Vaporizers is almost the same as energy regeneration rate of a 1750-cpu bot with Energy module. This means that you can fire all your plasmas until your energy is empty and can still use Vaporizers at their max dps. The gun configuration of this bot is almost identical to Khoakuma's but the overall structure differs significantly. The backward thruster was also repositioned to the top to to make it less susceptible against plasmas.

Just like Khoakuma's Beelzebul VII, this bot is tough as nail, has excellent firepower, and is super fast with max speed at OC1 of 187. Available in the CRF.

Functional parts :
9x Hoverblade Tornado
3x Thruster Cheetah
4x Plasma Devastator
x8 Laser Vaporizer
1x Power booster

Designwise, looks awesome. Amazing paint job.
Only things i have a problem with are the wings holding the outer plasmas, just a bit too wide and I think it needs some medi-guns :3
Maybe move the wing things back and put the plasmas and medi-beams on that? OR replace two side SMGs for medi-beams :D
Awesome bot overall! :)

The whole point of those wide wings is to provide weapon clearance and mount points protection. Each of those wing also has 3 hoverblades inside so some amount of armor is needed. About nanos, I would like to have some on this bot too, but there's no cpu left.

Ohhh ok didnt know there were hovers in those wings xD
But even so, i would put the plasmas on top, its the best clearance in my opinion ;)

My opinion about how to mount plasmas (and lasers) is that plasmas are burst damage weapons, you need good clearance for them for only a small amount of time, so side-mounting them is fine for me, especially with smart weapon. On the other hand, lasers are sustained damage weapons, they need good clearance for longer time than most other weapon for optimal dps, so I prefer to top-mount them. Side-mounted plasmas are also good at attacking targets below you, something that happens occasionally when you are playing a hover bot. Another reason is that side-mounted guns tend to last longer than top-mounted one, and 1-2 plasmas left is far more useful than 1-2 lasers left.
