Shuttlez R

Plasma Bomber added 1 month ago

Horray for new updates! Totally changing the field in terms of art bot effectiveness.

Bringing back Shuttlez as a rotor. Normally I'm not fond of the rotor as it doesn't behave like normal rotors, but seeing how wings don't behave the same they used to, I didn't have much choice. Lol.

This is the smg loadout for this publishing. I have used different loadouts so this build is pretty versatile.

Will working on a means of buffing up the rotors but that will be down the track.

Ignore the haters. You can make the rotors a bit tougher by using a couple of struts instead of all rods. The struts will soak up overflow damage when your rotors take something like an Impaler hit. Often damage will punch through your rods and ripoff the back of your copter stripping rotors, the struts prevent that. I would personally get rid of the nano but thats just me, overall nice design.

That is much helpful. Not sure how to use the struts though as they conflict with placement. :O

I see you indeed did find time to publish something!
I have to agree though, the wings are weird to use now and although rotors behave weirdly they're marginally better than wings right now.

I dunno. I find it too simple. Throw on 2 rotors and hey look, a flying craft. It's not the same like it used to be to build skillfully.

Lots of people saying it's a brick, looks at a few of my own artbots, dang oh well ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

We still kicked butt in battle. Even Cuddlez had its moments too. Haha.

Cube is cube as it is, but it is such a creative action to build it like that, I like it!

Yes a brick is a brick.......but at least it's not an uncreative box. Nice job of replicating the shuttle. Accurate and looks awesome. Lots of us have been guilty of making a meta bot of some kind. It's how the game works if you want to win battles, gain SXP and farm robits. Not all of us have millions from CRF sales either. So a bot like this can help the bank emensly. Look back a bit ......tesla runners.....piranhas....... shurikens and teseracts all in plague proportions at various times ( and many direct rip offs ) Metas will always be there. When have they not. Nice bot JSU and good on you for being creative and not following the norm.

Much appreciated. I admit that this creation has gone a bit meta now that I think about it. But I still find it more enjoyable to be running around in this than the common meta out there. Shuttles is still one of my more favourite chassis to play with.

Even though the 8.5 rating states that the bot is "amazing" i would say it's just another "brick" copter with a mediocre skin over it, not very original and i don't like people using meta bots and just putting some skin over it to make it seem more "innocent"

That's understood. This published version was a refined version after many battles. Originally it was larger and had an extra rotor in there. But with the way it was laid out, they got shot off way too quickly to be effective.

A brick is a brick, no matter how you shape it...

True. Didn't really intend it to be a brick though. Just remodelled the old Shuttlez to this rotor based one and attempted to make it functional.
