Project Starship 2 - 5

Plasma Drone added 1 week ago

Do you want to have epic spaceship battles in Robocraft? This is a collection of ships I made for an awesome custom battle I call Project Starship. I imagine elimination style 5v5 matches with hard-fought and fun matches!

When I made the original Project Starship, I knew I wanted to make several ships for use. I've drawn from different references for inspiration like other games, movies, random Google images, and my own imagination to bring you some more great capital ships to wage war with!

Internally, they are each very similar, using helium for lift and thrusters for movement. They all have the same weapons and modules as well, with the aim of having a fair match for everyone.

Now, the ships:

Project Starship 2 (red, gray) is really just the original Project Starship with new paint and new weapons. Originally I thought of only having plasma in Project Starship, but after some AI tests, I realized it kinda sucks when your weapon energy goes down and RoF decreases. So, I decided to go with mid-tier plasma for more punch, paired with bottom-tier laser to help manage energy better.

Project Starship 3 (blue, white, pink) has a nice overall design, but seems to become unstable easier than other ships when taking damage.

Project Starship 4 was lost to me forever. I made the basic chassis for PS 5 and had copied it to begin experimenting with the inner-workings. I switched garages to PS 4, and 4 was copied over by the chassis for 5. 4 was now gone and only available in the CRF. I sent a message to FJ help desk, but they couldn't care less. I got a reply mail that was the equivalent of an automated message and as helpful as a Tic Tac in a shitstorm:

Me: "I was working on a new bot (now called Robo427). I switched garages to look at a similar bot called "Project Starship 4". A message appeared about not saving the bot because it lost server connection. The result was that my new bot "Robo427" automatically copied over a finished bot called "Project Starship 4". My lost bot is in my CRF under the same name "Project Starship 4". Is there anyway it can be restored?"

FJ: "Hi, Thanks for contacting Freejam Support!

We are aware that this sometimes happens when building and switching garages it does merge two bots, but leaving and returning to the screen returns the bots to their correct state.

After the 'lost server connection message appeared and the new bot was copied over to Project Starship 4, did then you click edit? If you did it would have autosaved the copy permanently.

I can see Robo42 and Project Starship 4 in your garage as two separate bots. I am hopeful the copy was not permanent.

Thanks"

My question was not answered. My problem not solved. Seemingly no understanding of the situation from FJ. frustrated:emoji

So, I took the only course of action left to me in order to get my bot back. I opened a new RC account, grinded, and bought it from the CRF of my main account. Fun times.

Project Starship 5 (orange, white, gray)...I'm tired of typing now. It's big!!!

Nice ships there. If I may suggest, if you like building star ships, you might want to try the unofficial Robocraft in space game: Galactic Junk League :D

I've made a couple of artships myself, if you would like I would go with you to custom and show them to you or have a duel.

yeah we should have a custom game. I've played GJL but didn't care for it because of the small ships. I like Empyrion, but I prefer MMO games. anyway, I'd love to see your art ships :D

I made X-wing, A-wing, Millennium Falcon, TIE Interceptor, and Slave 1 that all were really fun to play. you can see them on my youtube channel "I Dunno"

I also made mini X-Wing, TIE Fighter, TIE Bomber, Y-wing, A-wing, Slave 1, and Snow Speeder (all around 300 - 400 cpu) for custom matches.

Problem was they all used wings. After the wing update changed wings, none of my Star Wars bots fly because their unique designs don't work with shitty new wings. So, sorry, you missed my Star Wars bots, but you can still play Project Starship :D

Thx for the answer.
I also want , that FreeJam removed this annoying update, it would be better to add separate wings with vertical take-off. Good luck in building space shuttles

Constructive Points

Constructive points are what you get when other users mark your reviews (comment+ratings) as constructive.

When should you mark a review as constructive though?

If you answer yes to at least three of these questions you should definitely mark it as constructive; is the review..

  1. friendly?
  2. helpful?
  3. encouraging?
  4. well structured?
  5. fair relative to the CPU used?

Why do I want these points?

After receiving X amount of points you will get a chance of being promoted to "trusted reviewer". This promotion is done by a moderator if (s)he thinks your comment and rating behaviour is reasonable.

Trusted reviewer?

As a trusted reviewer you no longer need to write a comment when rating a robot. If you add a comment you will receive extra points. Trusted reviewer is not necessarily permanent, continous bad behaviour or lack of comments might get you demoted.

Constructive Voting

Hey, seems like you're about to place your first constructive vote. That's awesome! I just wanted to inform you a bit about it before you jump into voting though. You can vote on any comment accompanied with a rating as a "Constructive Review". This will give the reviewer a "Constructive Point".
