Tier 4 version! 20 kills and 0 deaths in footage!

Check out my original which started it all!

And compare with the previous iteration to see what's changed!

Battle Demonstration: http://youtu.be/WyR6RXxc71c
____________________________________

Helium count reduced from 4 to 2 (used for automatic levelling effect).

2 T4 steering thrusters replacing old T2, installed nearer to front, augmenting the 4 T10s already in place.

Aero rods used to save CPU as well as reducing weight even further, improving power-to-weight ratio and consequently, acceleration, steering and agility.

Additional:

Gunmounts placed at corners, far away from where typical SMG tanks would aim (which would be the center). This fighter retains DPS better than gunbeds!

Tightening the gunmounts superbly improves accuracy. This one rips tanks by aiming at their gunmount cubes, picking them away one by one until they're harmless! This was true before the Team Orders update. Gunbeds have stopped fighting with T8 and T9 cubes, so now it has to avoid them more often :>

I've decided I wish to share it :D
It should be easily modifiable from the Original Falconix.

This is how it looks like within!

Say, could I ask for a tutorial? I've tried to build this for 2 hours now. :(
As a small edit, this is my first ever "copied" build :P

My my, I'm getting that a lot oO Okay, I've replaced the battle demonstration with a tutorial proper. Build it and sweep!

If anyone wants to see this bot's battle footage sample, the Youtube link is in the description.

(Update: Today, I believe I may have perfected the Falconix at last. It basically returns to the roots of the original machine, from where the 2nd and 3rd iterations - accelerating faster (but same top speed) but less beefier - stemmed from.

What I'd like to call the 'Final Falconix' incorporates my experience learning from mistakes designing its predecessors.

It has 70% more thrust than the Original Falconix, compared to the fastest accelerating iteration's +128%.

The CPU that would've been used for even more thrust was instead redirected to more T10.4 EPs, eschewing the excruciatingly heavy (and least Shield-per-CPU efficient) T10.10 EPs.

In short, it goes 'supersonic' without compromising on shielding;

the cost is the omission of the retro thrusters, which were rarely used anyway and were only useful when entering Tank Mode (which I have since learnt to perform using pitching and gliding alone (^v^)).

If there's any interest as to what this last Falconix might look like, perhaps I should post it for all to see. ('v')-b

Oh, I forgot about improvement of flight path, but I see that you already know about this. One little change - a lot of advantages. :D

Move helum like on this picture - http://i.imgur.com/PYsnYZP.png
This will give you better upward thrust, better stabilisation and more blocks to spread damage that you'll be getting from the front. ;)

you should make it a bomber instead of smg, because getting close to people with that flimsy of a bot doesnt seem logical

How is this a jet fighter... it in no real way looks like a jet fighter. It's a Tengu i mean its a box full of thrusters. Again, how is this a jet fighter
Zyro_Falcon

That's right, it's not a Thrusta Steek, it's not a Tengu, it's an Electrobox!

It doesn't need to look like a jet fighter to do the job of a jet fighter.

Besides, if the Flying Pancake had jet thrusters instead of propellors, the Lightning Falconix would be basically that :D

If it was a "box" normally it would be sealed somewhat completely like: http://robocraftgarage.com/robot/t10-boxy-mk1 don't you think? Yours is quite open and normally a Jet fighter has "wings" am i right?... Yours is a box as you said and no wings.. again not really a jet fighter at all. Jet Fighters normally if not in all cases are designed for air-air combat and bombing etc, a missile can do the exact same. Does that mean a missile is a Jet Fighter because it can do the exact same job?

Constructive Points

Constructive points are what you get when other users mark your reviews (comment+ratings) as constructive.

When should you mark a review as constructive though?

If you answer yes to at least three of these questions you should definitely mark it as constructive; is the review..

  1. friendly?
  2. helpful?
  3. encouraging?
  4. well structured?
  5. fair relative to the CPU used?

Why do I want these points?

After receiving X amount of points you will get a chance of being promoted to "trusted reviewer". This promotion is done by a moderator if (s)he thinks your comment and rating behaviour is reasonable.

Trusted reviewer?

As a trusted reviewer you no longer need to write a comment when rating a robot. If you add a comment you will receive extra points. Trusted reviewer is not necessarily permanent, continous bad behaviour or lack of comments might get you demoted.

Constructive Voting

Hey, seems like you're about to place your first constructive vote. That's awesome! I just wanted to inform you a bit about it before you jump into voting though. You can vote on any comment accompanied with a rating as a "Constructive Review". This will give the reviewer a "Constructive Point".

After receiving about 100 total amount of votes the user will get a chance of being promoted to "Approved Reviewer". This promotion is done by a moderator if (s)he thinks your comment and rating behaviour is reasonable.

Approved Reviewer?
