Motorcycles

When fun and style are what you're looking for. Slide into a turn! Jump over mountains! Wings keep you balanced, inner-thrusters churn out speed. Be the envy of everyone!

If you're looking for more pep, try our smaller, green model, the "Street Hawk".

But if you are hungry for power, give our larger, blue model, the "Street Demon" a spin.

Ok, seriously, these motorcycles are pretty fun to mess around with but are far from perfect. The first thing you may notice is they are a bit...wobbly? My hope is that someone will see something in these designs that will inspire them to make an even better performing motorcycle. The wings magically keep them balanced because Robocraft physics are not based at all on reality!

They steer fine on even surfaces. However, because of the force of the wings, they want to spin if you try to turn in the air. Even hitting a bump when turning can flip the cycle on its side. It's not too big of a deal though, just releasing the turn key allows the wings to pop the bike back upright, but it does mean there is a bit of a learning curve to driving these. Tapping turn (rather than holding it down) can let you manage a mid-air turn without spinning. Of course, sometimes spinning can be a cool stunt too XD

Quickly turning left-to-right (or vice versa) can also result in the bot flipping on its side and can be managed in 2 ways. One is to simply wait half a second after releasing one turn key before pressing the other turn key. Another is to put some extra blocks on the side, such as a vapor trail as I did in the video, to prevent the bot from tipping over so far.

Find them under "b_funk_masta" in the game :D

Constructive Points

Constructive points are what you get when other users mark your reviews (comment+ratings) as constructive.

When should you mark a review as constructive though?

If you answer yes to at least three of these questions you should definitely mark it as constructive; is the review..

  1. friendly?
  2. helpful?
  3. encouraging?
  4. well structured?
  5. fair relative to the CPU used?

Why do I want these points?

After receiving X amount of points you will get a chance of being promoted to "trusted reviewer". This promotion is done by a moderator if (s)he thinks your comment and rating behaviour is reasonable.

Trusted reviewer?

As a trusted reviewer you no longer need to write a comment when rating a robot. If you add a comment you will receive extra points. Trusted reviewer is not necessarily permanent, continous bad behaviour or lack of comments might get you demoted.

Constructive Voting

Hey, seems like you're about to place your first constructive vote. That's awesome! I just wanted to inform you a bit about it before you jump into voting though. You can vote on any comment accompanied with a rating as a "Constructive Review". This will give the reviewer a "Constructive Point".
