Rail Mech added 1 year ago

Hi everyone,

Here is a little sprinter made for alcome1614. The bot itself has not much CPU, so more energy and still pretty tanky for its size.
Keep in mind that's a pure railgunner, not meant to fight ions in close range, that's why it has good escape abilities ^^

Functional parts :

- 2 sprinter legs epic
- 4 hovers epic (enough to carry the bot without legs)
- 6 rails epic
- 3 thrusters C6 epic
- 1 blink module
- A rodforced / strutforced chassis

It seems that I stumbled on that metal piece and so with RC physics it made flips... it looks calculated tho, also the propeller probably helped :)

Are you and Technoninja neighbours. You guys are serving up the best mech design builds by far. I can imagine both of you chatting about how to blow our minds next. I'm rating 10/10 on all fronts..... with the video evidence backing it up nicely. Aesthetically pleasing bot to the eye. Impeccable construction and hardware decisions. Best of all battle proven in front of our eyes. Sexy 1st thumbnail to grab our attention. This is how all showcases should be. Big fat 10's justified.

Nice poster, and the bot looks amazing:) I will add a wasp and set it as primary weapon , so when I take screen, I can have all rails point to front. The other thing is epic hover will slow it to 150mph ,but if you use rare one the top speed will go back to 170mph.

Yeah but sprinters are fast enough, sacrifice a few mph for a best durability isn"t a big deal ^^

I'm thinking about the same kind of shapes for the top rails , since the strut isn't that nice there :/
McNugg2710

A few errors in the practical aspect of it. So your side mounted rails are connected with struts, but then by a block. This block will quickly die under any sort of fire making the HP of the strut redundant. Just attach the rails a little better, hid the hovers a little better, and it'd be even better :3. Good apart from that though

Well yes, maybe that connect the rail with cubes instead of a strut would be even better, also, the rear hovers aren't the first target, since rails need to be posted far away from the real fight... using more CPU would reduce the energy, tho I think 1400CPU would still be fine ^^

Anyway I wanted to make a bigger version of this one maybe with 1600 CPU but with more hovers, plasmas and rails ... this would be better :)
McNugg2710
Yeah, it is very nice looking and all, but PURE railers tend to actually bet better around the 1200 CPU range. If you are going to increase its cpu I think it would justify possibly some ions and all.

Nice, but only rails is not perfect, works well in BA 1200MMR, I have it and it does well but not perfect

Of course, that's why you've a blink module, I know it comes pretty difficult when you've to 1v1 to close range... rails are not good for these fights ikr.. tho from distance, it takes rails shots pretty well and so it's a pleasure to play with as a support or to defend points :)

Constructive Points

Constructive points are what you get when other users mark your reviews (comment+ratings) as constructive.

When should you mark a review as constructive though?

If you answer yes to at least three of these questions you should definitely mark it as constructive; is the review..

  1. friendly?
  2. helpful?
  3. encouraging?
  4. well structured?
  5. fair relative to the CPU used?

Why do I want these points?

After receiving X amount of points you will get a chance of being promoted to "trusted reviewer". This promotion is done by a moderator if (s)he thinks your comment and rating behaviour is reasonable.

Trusted reviewer?

As a trusted reviewer you no longer need to write a comment when rating a robot. If you add a comment you will receive extra points. Trusted reviewer is not necessarily permanent, continous bad behaviour or lack of comments might get you demoted.

Constructive Voting

Hey, seems like you're about to place your first constructive vote. That's awesome! I just wanted to inform you a bit about it before you jump into voting though. You can vote on any comment accompanied with a rating as a "Constructive Review". This will give the reviewer a "Constructive Point".
