-Sweet Medicine-

Medic Hover added 2 months ago

Hi everyone,

This bot is a pure medic, I'm lazy sometimes, an being a med is a nice way to stop thinking, you just have to almost aim right, don't come too late, and switch your nanos if you're low energy... what a nice gameplay...
I made this to be practical more than "beautiful" tho I still tried to make it good looking ^^'

Functional parts :

- 9 hover rare
- 4 nano epic
- 7 nano uncommon
- 1 propeller epic
- 2 thruster epic
- 1 blink module
- 8 electroplate rare

Cool bot, it reminds me of my T7 medic back in the 2014 days. Ah the good old times, old but gold! Anyway i consider to have at least a secondary weapon on top of it, maybe a stinger missile, just to be able to defend against planes.

I'm 90% certain it lowers fire rate though.

Hmmmm not in this case, RC takes your maximum firing rate on a point and applies it on the whole bot. I mean imagine a wall, put 3 plasmas behind, 1 plasma on the front part, the firing rate of the single plasma will be the same as 3 technically, and so my bot can aim up and down with 4 guns, it means the firing rate of a single gun is the same as 4 basically (I think I recorded a video about this, but never uploaded... not sure if it changed ingame, I think it didn't since I didn't notice any diminishing) ^^

Surely that can't be right. If I were to slap 6 smgs behind my bot, facing backwards and only place 1 facing forwards, that smg in front surely will not fire at the rate of 7 smgs?

Well, I made a wonderful bot to show you what I mean... even if 5/6 of your guns are hidden, if you have the nominal count, the only gun able to shoot will shoot at the maximum firing rate.

But there's another point that you must remember, if you have 3 guns on the front side, and 3 guns on the back side, your firing rate will be the same as 3. To get the maximum rate, you need to have at least 4 guns able to shoot in the same direction ^^

I hope this was a clear way to explain how smart weapons can be "OP" sometimes (not many players know this trick, but it's really helpfull sometimes, as on this medic for example, blocked guns aren't an issue since all 4 guns can shoot the same point above, and below the bot) ^^'

Sympa ce hover, mais un peu classique le placement de tes EP :/

En tous cas il est quand même cool, et bien joué le détail de la petite croix sur le dessus ;)

I made another medic (just uploaded), better in any situation imo, maybe a bit less tanky due to the removed EP, but still pretty tanky afteral ^^'

With two medics in a platoon, right now "tankiness" doesnt really matter, since they can heal eachother.

Black white and red - go so well with this medic design. :c)

This design looks like a top-notch healer. Of course I do need to call out its lack of ability to defend itself (or attack when your services as a healer simply aren't required) - but you'll be relying on team-mates for that.

Clean EP placements add to the look Nicely done. ^_^

In term of healing, I can say that it is pretty good , but it can't defend itself sadly, so I made another medic in case I need to make some damages (plasma). This one was just a "no brain build", made for these situation I don't want to shoot, or even aim, and Sweet Medicine is a first try for some better bots later ^^' (since I really never play medic usually)...

I also made the medic / plasma hover ( that I'll upload later) for a simple reason, sometimes your team just doesn't do anything, so healing a useless team makes you useless as well ^^'

Thank you for the comments btw :)

Fairly common electroplate placement but I like the strut in the middle which divided both top and bottom parts. I heard medics got a buff?

Ratings 9.0 practical and 8.0 creative0

Yeah ikr the plates placement is super common, but well i've got something else coming anyway ^^' (another medic without plates, still a classic shape tho and some other bots)

The buff isn't that consequent, projectiles are 5% faster, and energy cost 5% lower, but the score provided with healing is 150% more ^^

Constructive Points

Constructive points are what you get when other users mark your reviews (comment+ratings) as constructive.

When should you mark a review as constructive though?

If you answer yes to at least three of these questions you should definitely mark it as constructive; is the review..

  1. friendly?
  2. helpful?
  3. encouraging?
  4. well structured?
