Stingray

Plasma Copter added 3 weeks ago

I've been gone for a while, but got the itch to build this weekend, and the damn mortars make me want to get off the ground so.....helicopters. I made this one extra tanky so it can eat a few flaks before needing to go to cover. Didn't really have a shape in mind when I started, but when I finished I said "Hey, would ya lookie there! I made a stingray!"

Thanks! I see you've been making some funky bots lately. I like Electro Flea and Rokik.
Yeah, I hadn't been playing for a while. I liked making motorcycle drones...until they removed radar jammers. And I had a blast making cars....until they removed drift wheels. Then I got really creative with some Star Wars themed flyers....until the wing change made them unflyable. I was finally left with 100 garage bays of mostly useless bots due to all the changes so I bought some different games to play for a bit. Now, I come back with this mortar craziness on the ground and the wanky wings, I'm moving onto helicopters for the time being :D

Yeah I've lost garages full of bots due to the changes. I can recommend messing around with ski's though. A very under utilised movement. You may be able to revisit the much loved drift action. I agree rotors are the better movement to work with at the moment. The speed buff they've had recently is nice.

Long time no bots Funk. I always looked forward to your offerings. Nice looking practical heli. Agreed getting off the ground is a good thing until the mortar hype is over. FreeJam need to back off the visuals attached to gyro. The frikken explosion is to intense and discombobulating. Plus I'm old and don't like noise and bright lights. Red hot bot thou Funk. Nice job.
