The Necklance

SMG Hover added 2 years ago

First things first, this is a light bot. It moves fast (~220 at OC 13) and strikes hard. You have the luxury of picking your fights and you should use discretion when tackling a tankier build solo.

The bot isn't made of glass though. The front shielding lets it hold up to some heavy plasma and SMG fire but be wary of rails. I consistently survive 2-3 railgun shots before dying or limping back to the base. Clever maneuvering can allow the mega SMGs to be used as shields in an escape.

The bot handles anti air well and its exceptional firepower and maneuverability allows it to dodge plasma volleys and destroy the source.

The speed and damage combine into a bot that offers lots of map control. I mostly zip along the front lines, grabbing assists, defending towers, and tipping the scales in team fights.

Don't forget to retreat if damaged. You're hardly an asset without your mega SMGs, so stay topped of by doing swings past the base or the medics.

The rudders are not necessary but offer midair control (so you can keep all guns on target) and on point turning. They make going in reverse unresponsive but victory is achieved by moving forward!

Lovely creative design, I mean some really intricate arrangement going on! Great work!

However I feel this is more "glass" than I would be happy with, movement parts for vehicles like this need specific protection, either encase those hovers or upgrade to t10's, doesn't matter how many you have if they get picked off in batches which they will due to comparatively low HP :)

Also those rudders placed like that seem like they would only aid drift, rather than specific stability, could you post the cube manager parts?

Pilot seats don't take damage. T8 hovers are more stable, redundant, and top speed is still 220 mph.

Constructive Points

Constructive points are what you get when other users mark your reviews (comment+ratings) as constructive.

When should you mark a review as constructive though?

If you answer yes to at least three of these questions you should definitely mark it as constructive; is the review..

  1. friendly?
  2. helpful?
  3. encouraging?
  4. well structured?
  5. fair relative to the CPU used?

Why do I want these points?

After receiving X amount of points you will get a chance of being promoted to "trusted reviewer". This promotion is done by a moderator if (s)he thinks your comment and rating behaviour is reasonable.

Trusted reviewer?

As a trusted reviewer you no longer need to write a comment when rating a robot. If you add a comment you will receive extra points. Trusted reviewer is not necessarily permanent, continous bad behaviour or lack of comments might get you demoted.

Constructive Voting

Hey, seems like you're about to place your first constructive vote. That's awesome! I just wanted to inform you a bit about it before you jump into voting though. You can vote on any comment accompanied with a rating as a "Constructive Review". This will give the reviewer a "Constructive Point".
