Barracuda-BC6 Flagship

SMG Hover added 1 year ago

This bot got me from S-1 to P-5. During this solo journey I had only lost 2 league battles out of at least 30, majority of which I had top score. This beast is capable of capturing towers very easily, healing allies during emergencies and dishing out decent firepower against various types of hostile bots, including Laser Drones.

13 Tornado Hover Blades are enough to support the tough & heavy chassis, yet giving it a stunning top speed of 181MPH at OC1, 203MPH at OC4 & 225MPH at OC15.
4 Puma Thrusters & 4 Cheetah Thrusters provide decent forward acceleration and to support hill climbing.
7 Disintegrator Top Lasers give decent damage at any directions. 3 on top, all far apart, and 2 on each sides.
3 Constructor Nanos provide quick healing to get teammates into action quickly.

Pros:
Fast
Agile
Threathening
Able to climb hills.
Great for 1v1 fights.
OK-OK against Laser Drones.
Low-profile, 5-blocks-tall.
Triforced (Hovers, Weapons, "Cockpit" & a few other areas)
Rodforced (Hovers, Weapons, middle 2 Thrusters & the centre)
Effective placement of Hovers.
Only 1 Hover is fully-exposed - the bottom rear one (But no one is able to destroy that easily).

Cons:
All Thrusters exposed.
Weak against Plasma Drones.
Rare (but possible) scenarios where the front and middle Hovers are destroyed, resulting in loss of movement control.
Pilots should know exactly when to heal & when not to heal, depending on combat scenarios.
NEVER execute sharp U-turns.

Miscellaneous Information:
7 hardpoints for Holoflags.
1 hardpoint for League Badge.
The Barracuda has quite a history of changes.
I actually made it to P-5 on 21st April, but because of school, I couldn't publish in time.
I have LOTS & LOTS of screenshots of the Barracuda as top score.
Pardon my Avatar.

You may want to turn those 4 puma thrusters around to give yourself some braking power too. You will surely accelerate fast as is but pulling out without having to turn around might also be a good idea :)

Constructive Points

Constructive points are what you get when other users mark your reviews (comment+ratings) as constructive.

When should you mark a review as constructive though?

If you answer yes to at least three of these questions you should definitely mark it as constructive; is the review..

  1. friendly?
  2. helpful?
  3. encouraging?
  4. well structured?
  5. fair relative to the CPU used?

Why do I want these points?

After receiving X amount of points you will get a chance of being promoted to "trusted reviewer". This promotion is done by a moderator if (s)he thinks your comment and rating behaviour is reasonable.

Trusted reviewer?

As a trusted reviewer you no longer need to write a comment when rating a robot. If you add a comment you will receive extra points. Trusted reviewer is not necessarily permanent, continous bad behaviour or lack of comments might get you demoted.

Constructive Voting
